The traveler made the gift mast and stuck it in the polar jet of a back hole after it mad ten planets orbit it and made the accretion disk give light and heat to those planets, we don't know exactly when it came to fundament but it did so before the worms made planets crash into it since the worms were already imprisoned there.
It was after the hive destroyed life on fundament when the traveler fled, though since the hive didn't observe it happening you can stretch and say that it was before the traveler came to fundament but all i can remember about the traveler's time before then is what was mentioned in the dreams of alpha lupi, it was said that the traveler created that shell around itself with lead, neutronium and electroweak matter which I think was present early in the beginning of the universe.
Yeah, but we know that when the hive found it those planets had life so it would be more likely after the traveler left fundament otherwise that civilization would be billions of years old, there also the worm gods who said that they have been trapped in the gas giant's cor for millions of years so it does not need to be billions of year since the traveler arrived at fundament.
<I meant that there were billions of years before the events of Fundament and after. Also, the Hive and Worms are literally billions of years old. It wouldn't be that crazy to have another race like that.>
