There is still the question of the beast the lies within the Dreaming City. There are three possibilities right now that I can think of: 1) An Ahamkara, as there is the mention of a “curse” involved based on the trailer. The raid is also HEAVILY fantasy themed, so a Dragon would fit right in. 2) A Worm God. Which, I do not know, but my glimmer is on either a Taken Xol, or the more likely Yul. 3) Savathun, because she has the ‘Mother morph’ which for all we know made her EXTRA THI-<Transmission Lost>

  • No we killed Oryx in his throne room, so he's like, dead dead. Really dead.

My Opinion > Yours - old

He’s dead. Gone. Bye. Sayonara. Adios. Later. He’s not coming back. And if he would, shame on Bungie and the lore community would erupt within itself.

  • 1) I don’t think an Ahamkara fits into a taken raid. So far, they have nothing to do with the taken. Only possibility would be a taken Ahamkara, but I don’t think we would encounter one before we do a normal one. Or it could be revealed that they are indeed linked to the taken in some way. 2) A Wormgod would fit the “immense creature” description, but we just had one. It would be kinda lame and not really original. Only thing that supports this is that Nokris and Xol had contact with the taken and Savathun. 3) I really don’t think Savathun herself has entered our solar system just yet. Like, physically. Her being the actual raid boss would be huge waste of a character and the plot lines that come with her. She might show herself in the raid, but I doubt that too. But I do think she will be mentioned and plays a roll in Forsaken.

  • Come to think of it, there is a 4th option: Quira, Although I doubt this as we just got Argos as a raid boss in Curse. A little too soon for another Hydra.

  • Now that’s more likely in my eyes. But is she really “immense” like Petra says?

  • <Plus, there's at least one VERY good plotline for Quria that deserves it's own thing if there's a plan for it.>

  • Indeed, can’t have another Nokris on our hands.
Still hope they save his ass for another go. He honestly has so much potential, just like Quira.
Another minor thought that points towards Yul or an Ahamkara is that the Awoken needed a source for their Taken powers and tests, hence the ‘curse’. A bargain that will lead them to doom. We could just be overthinking all this and it’s just a really big Taken Shrieker or something that is introduced and killed in Forsaken, maybe after summoning Savathun.

  • I'm pretty sure they used captured Taken for their tests. One of the Taken bosses in PoE had a card where they tested on him, so I think it was implied that PoE was the testing area.
