The inconsistency most likely stems from using pre golden age stats when measuring nessus. Until we know the exact sns total effects of vex conversion we can't be sure if the "real life" size is in any way close. It leaves the door own for this type of speculation to be very misleading.

<At the same time, an even bigger inconsistency comes from the Dreadnaught. The CG Cutscenes show it to be spiky and massive, initially being comparable to a Ketch, to being the size of the Moon, to even being slightly bigger with the end credits cutscene. In the normal cutscenes, it's less spiky and shown to be the size of the moon still, but then becomes comparable to a City ship. In orbit, it's still the size of our moon. In gameplay, the core is disturbingly close to the hull breach, making it seem smaller... but then the Portico brings it back to a massive scale.>

See I know this will come off as kind of a joke but I'm really not jesting. We could actually attribute the Dreadnaughts inconsistencies with the fact that the ship itself is infused with powerful paracausal energy. I mean you're using laws of causality to try and figure these things out so it would make sense that the numbers don't make sense.

Bungie created this post-Golden Age universe. They get to make the rules. (thanks for this... never thought of it this way, but it makes total sense!)
