No. It's not the best now, and if we're talking about guns in their prime, it's either Suros or Vex.

Neither of those guns had a long reign though. TLW has had the longest by far
-
So it wins because it took them the longest to patch? Lol. Yeah gimme the Suros or Vex at their height over TLW every day and twice on Sundays.
-
I think it does. But if we're just talking about weapons at their height I would take hawkmoon when it first came out. Just my opinion though. I think TLW wins not only because of how long it took to be patched but also because even with the nerf it's still useful. Thorn is shit now, vex is fun but not competitive, SUROS is useful but honestly there's far better autos.
-
I'm talking about the strongest, best guns in the game. Vanilla Suros and Vex were far and away better than any weapon in any instance except maybe Hawkmoon and Thorn in HoW. I can't consider TLW over those because of range. It used to have much better range, but it was never what the Hawkmoon or Thorn was when Trials first dropped.
-
True but vex did not have high usage because of its shit drop rate. SUROS did sorta but it was nerfed so hard that it was useless for a time. Look all of this is just my opinion but for me a weapon has to have been really strong and still be useful after nerfs. TLW is. Thorn is not, SUROS is okay but not competitive, vex isn't at all
-
But that has nothing to do with the guns strength. The devs choose to leave it alone while other, stronger weapons are nerfed into the ground. It still being good is literally just an arbitrary decision made by Bungie and victim of circumstance. I understand it's opinion based. Doesn't mean I can't debate the points supporting your opinion.

Nah debate away, guardian. I agree that part of it is just an unwillingness to make changes on the Devs part. But for me the others were insanely strong for a short period of time. But TLW really good, then good, and now somewhat good. Whereas the others had a steep drop off
