High impact autos have tiny mags (poor crowd control). Low impact hi-RoF autos make you choose between range and stability, and everyone knows that you cannot have range without stability. Right now, the best all-around autos are the mid impact variety. The vendor version Haakon's Hatchet I got from Saladin early in Y2 is the best mid-impact auto rifle I've seen - 36 round mag, Red Dot OAS, Rangefinder, Perfect Balance, and Counterbalance. Works great in both PvE and PvP. It's equipped on my Hunter.

Yep I have that exact same one too. I even did a video on it hahah. I do like those but I'm much more partial high impact weapons. Just my preference honestly

Edited by LateMinotaur051: 7/11/2017 7:02:19 PMI have 3 high impact autos that I pull out every once in a while - Antipodal Hindsight and two Grimm Citizens, all three having Perfect Balance and Counterbalance. However, whenever there's the slightest problem with hit detection, the Hatchet somehow seems to work best. My biggest disappointment in auto rifles is the only Doctrine of Passing I ever got, a few months back - Persistence, Braced Frame and Counterbalance. I have a couple Bent Trees and Hex Casters that are better hi-RoF autos.

Right now my go to high impact is the answering chord. Love that thing
