Once upon a time, there was this one peculiar girl who was born. Well, she wasn't too peculiar at the time; for she looked relatively the same as any other average newborn baby. However, when she began to grow older did she begin to evolve into a different kind of person. A special kind of person, made for a certain purpose. But this purpose will be revealed later in our story.
This girl went through the things in life like any of us have. She went to school, hated it, had some friends, got bullied, hormones changed, mixed feelings and emotions, and the whole nine yards. But out of everything, the bullying was what impacted her the most. Because of this, she developed something some of us can relate to:
Insecurity.
With societal standards pressuring those around to have a certain look, this one girl felt she was almost never on par. One phase the world wants skinny, almost non-existant eyebrows. Then next, they want eyebrows as thick as a mustache. Each trend was so hard to keep up with, and she felt that she never amounted to any of the models she saw on TV. For years insecurities plagued her life, and for the longest time... she felt irrelevant to the world. Irrelevant, until she met you.
Now this is what made her so special. This is what her intended purpose was for. She was a peculiar person, specifically designed and crafted to be the partner you have always desired. She was empathetic yet vulnerable, caring and yet unsure. She was passionate for what she loved, yet doubting in what she hated. There was just something about her that stuck out to you, and you somehow found your way to each other.
It started off casually. You were in college pursuing a degree, not really giving love a second glance. You wanted stability, a future, success. None of these things are guaranteed in a relationship. And neither was she looking. It was fate however, that brought you into the same class together. At first, you were merely partners for a midterm project. This led to an irreplaceable friendship, one that you knew would last.
You guys did everything together. You explored the world, went on exciting adventures, expressed your feelings, shared secrets, and overall grew close. Eventually, you found yourself falling in love.
You began to fascinate yourself with everything about her. She was sweet, kind, and understanding. She was patient with you, and fiercely loyal. Her physical traits were also quite appealing to you, especially the curves that you often found yourself lost in. She had the quite the bust, and you definitely noticed that. But you weren't superficial... oh no. You loved her as a whole, as the person she was.
It just so happened she reciprocated those feelings. It wasn't before long that you two started dating, and soon after became steady. You were the talk of your friends, and found yourselves being called the "perfect couple". Both of your adoration for one another always shined through your actions. It was no question that you thought the world of her.
She, was your world.
And you knew that you couldn't live without your world. You couldn't just let her some how get away.
Time passed, and you both graduated with honors with your degrees. Soon after you both found steady jobs, and things began to look up for you guys. Now, you realized, was the prime time to seal the deal with the one you truly loved. After some deliberation and several prayers, you propose to her; to which she joyfully accepted.
The wedding ceremony was beautiful. It was everything you ever could have imagined for yourself... and yet, somehow it was even better. Perhaps, it was better because you finally could see clearly the person of your dreams. You regarded that day as the happiest time of your life. Everyone congratulated you, and before long, you were off to your honeymoon.
It was no secret that every newly traditional wedded couple always consummated their marriage once they were official. You knew it was coming, and you waited in anticipation. She was your whole world, and you had her all to yourself.
When she came into the room, you were smitten by a brand new girl that you almost could not recognize. You see a side of her you never could have thought existed. You get excited as you finally get to see the curves of the one you desire. Your biggest interest, were the circles you held in such high regard.
Then, everything changed.
When she took off her bra, you realized that she was wearing a push up bra. From all those years of being insecure, she had done things to try to make herself look and feel attractive. And because of this, the image she had made of herself was a false one, and you now know why.
You had thought she was at least a C-cup, but in reality she was actually an A.
It was then... and only then, that you realized...
Your world is flat.
