They should make close range supers do WAY more damage in PvE.
FoH and bladedancer need to outdamage golden gun and cap'n murika allot because it is more dangerous to get closer.
If you compare dmg to D1 bladedancer then it needs that x5 at least.
Because 5-6 bladedancer hits per major is stupid.

D1 blade neeess that damage buff, not sure what D2 blade is going to need since their supposed to be weakening enemies to make our weapons still perform at an acceptable level. Still though, for this once, I totally agree with you. Higher risk -> higher reward, and it wouldn't be some kind of OP mess because they can't even be used on bosses.
-
Thats why i said if you compare it to D1 bladedancer.😁 FoH needs this treatment too in D2. Its basically a bladedancer but with lesser hits now. Way faster though.🤣

Well, depending oh how it works. I saw a video of this guy who got like seven slams off in his fist of havoc (by killing waves of adds) and it wouldn't make sense for fist to do more damage but for the same amount of time...
-
Right, but it'll make no difference for PVP, we're talking about PVE strictly, and if you up the damage a lot it's not going to affect how many adds you kill, it'll just make it better to use on bosses, as the AoE slam prevents DoT melee supers from being viable, but if you up the damage, then the melee ones are actually worth running for endgame material.
-
No no, I mean that striker and arcstrider's total damage should be equal. So if the supers are the same amount of time when killing adds striker may outperform arcstrider as I'd bet it does more damage rn.
-
Cool, do you think they should both equally do more damage than other supers though, to balance their distance restrictions?
-
100%. That's the point of the previous posts.

Awesome. It's so hard to tell who is agreeing with you and who is arguing with you on these forums sometimes. = P

Yeah lol.

Edited by eternalazhrei: 6/4/2017 5:26:03 AMYEEEEEEEEEEEEES! THANK YOU! Goodness GRACIOUS it's good to see someone else using their head and actually doing MECHANICS comparisons for once. There are SO many people that aren't actually thinking, just opinionating (not a word, but whatever) that it's just, it's so good to see someone be productive. Thank you SO much. Edit: It's also even more important for Striker to outdamage Sentinel in D2 because Striker will be a multi attack like Arcblade. So the length of time it will take to do damage will be increased. Which makes it practically useless against bosses (which shouldn't happen).

Exactly. I felt the same way about blade for so long. Like it's such a cool subclass yet in pve it does nothing unless there's like a ton of thrall and you use the showstopper but even then is it really worth it? I think it should do way damage and like what if it could like sling arc energy off of the blade through the air? May be op in pvp but still then you could actually use it in raids like WOTM KF and maybe even Crota an Vault. May be a stupid idea and you pvp critics may think it'd be terrible but I think blade deserves more in pve. Bump all the way bro

There are so many easy ways to fix it, but the people who sit and INSIST that it's fine and nothing has to be done, or that it fits a theme and it should stay to that theme don't understand that there are mechanics, and the mechanics have to be balanced in terms of versatility, not just PVP.
