I have some insight which may, or may not have already been said below:
The small pointy structure directly under the ship resembles an old Spanish Mission structure.
Seen here:

These were primarily built in the southwestern United States, with the majority being in California, Texas and New Mexico.
Now when I researched this a little, the missions' architecture is slightly different per geographic location. There are two areas which have similar architecture to the D2 poster: New Mexico and California. Based on this poster I believe that this location is toward New Mexico because it appears to be very dusty and devoid of palms and such.
In any event, this is NOT old Russia, and we can decide from that that the Traveler either relocated, or we relocated it after a fierce battle.
Just my thoughts 🙃

I see it but its kinda farfetched, it could be a building inside the last city

Very true

That was very streamerish .

Very nerdy as well

I kind of want this to take place in multiple areas. Chicago Swamps, European Dead Zone, Sea of Tranquility, (Moon), Europa, the one Mars moon with the Volcanoes, more Phobos stuff! That's all free Bungie.

TBH you've mentioned the places we will most likely see

That's not a Spanish Mission. It's the flat roof of a building with a satelite dish and solar panels on top.

Dude...underneath the ship

The water tower looking thing? Sorry, I disagree that it is a spanish mission. It looks like another tower of some sort on top a another flat topper building.

Eh. Not everyone can have an eye for detail. 😎

Whom, me, you, or the artist?
