From a cost benefit perspective they won't invest in something like this when they already have such functionality available from a reliable and integrated third party service. Would be burning for no reason.
Theatre mode has been available in halo 3, odst, reach, 4 and 5. Twitch is watching someone else play a game from their own perspective. Theatre mode allows you to move around the map in free cam and view multiple angles of the map. It helps a lot for people who make funny videos. Some people can already do some pretty great things without theatre in destiny, but having it would make it all so much simpler and easy to use. Red vs Blue was made originally from someone in game and they just cut the screen. When theatre mode and forge mode came out in halo it opened up a whole new realm of possibilities for filming. Look how big red vs blue has gotten and imagine how much revenue it generated for the halo series. Something like this for destiny could potentially boost their advertisement and sales.
Yes it was present in later iterations of Halo but it was a feature originally added in 3.
They wouldn't have recieved direct revenue from a content creator. At most it would have just been marketing. But the people watching Halo parody content would be people who already own or play Halo.
In any case. I still doubt theatre mode will be added. From a business perspective there is no reasonable ROI when it exists with a larger user base as a 3rd party service.
