In an age where a song is considered bait; we used to use worms back in my day.
English
-
you used worms for songs? please tell me more
-
That's what he used as strings for his guitar.
-
And not those shit ass rubber ones... We used to dig them up ourselves and keep them in a bucket until we needed them on our hooks. Kids these days. They have it so easy.
-
That's the general idea there granpa. Progression tends to weed out what's necessary to spend time doing. You know, spend less time doing vapid activities and more time doing meaningful ones? Or are you pathetic because you don't spear fish?
-
Lol meaningful like Rick rolling.
-
Like getting us off the rock previous generations have abused or delving deeper into the mind like previous generation despaired and neglected.
-
And rickrolling
-
You seem proficient at it. I can't say I ever have.
-
I've never Rickrolled a single person. You just seemed like a starchy, uptight person so I felt like reminding you that we humans mostly spend our newfound free time being twats.
-
Way to prove it. By the way "rick rolling" = trolling and that's exactly what you were doing. Twat.
-
I would also disagree with your views on progression... I think that progression has been, and will continue to be a good thing. However i also think that, because of "progression" people have gotten lazy, complacent, and compliant.
-
I never said they haven't. I despise the general populace and a good majority of my generation. Tools are just so until they become crutches.
-
I would argue that the tools such as spearfishing, and even using live warms as bait are far from being a crutch.
-
Once again I never said that. Technology (progression) can be and is often used as a crutch. I use worms too, i pick them up at the tackle shop. "Having to dig the out of the dirt" is the foolish statement I'm going off of here. That doesn't mean you had a more enriching experience. It means you had to waste time on something impertinent.
-
I actually do spearfish in real life.
-
Bully for you. That was only the illustration. It's far from efficient. Way to dodge the rest of the statement though.
-
Depending on where I am I can actually catch more fish by spearfishing than by using bait and tackle... And it's also a good survival skill to learn.
-
Continue to dodge.
