Sorry mate. Impact 30pts high than harrowed QT.... a range that rivals a 1k stare...... No. This isn't to cast what I'm sure is my long and heavy shadow over your idea, I applaud your creativity I do. I'm not at all intrigued by this gun on a personal level, and honestly your stats make it read like a fully auto long range fusion or sniper. This is basically a pre-nerf mytho. Been there, done that, and I'll pass. Ohhh I forgot you want it to make explosions too. Hell why not just give it a 5 lions perk and it cam form voltron after you pick up heavy.

Did you completely ignore the 11 points in stability? Really?

  • You are correct, the range on this COULD be overpowered, but i believe you are over valueing the range stat, as what makes sniper rifles powerful is NOT the range, but rather a combination of their AIM ASSIST, and their crit multiplier, i never mentioned this guns hidden stats (aim assist, equip times, zoom etc) and i have already specificly state that it should have a lower crit multiplier then sniper rifles, i would likely prefer this to have a crit multiplier of the standard lmg crit multiplier..which is 1.25, now if we compare the impact on this to another gun with a similer impact, that would be comparing it with a hand cannon, namely the high impact lines, slightly stronger then hawkmoons default damage, but not as strong several legendaries, fatebringer for example has a impact of 81, and in pvp it does 86 damage on a crit, and 57 on a body shot, so with a impact of 85, this would do around 63-65 on body shot (a 4 shot kill) and 90 damage on a headshot (a three shot kill) the difference here is the addition of explosive rounds, which do not affect the body shot bullets to kill since they will only proc on precision shots, but could add as much as 50% damage, because the explosion counts as a separate entity, and will hit the players body hitbox, in addition to the precision damage, so that would make this weapon a 2 shot kill IF both shots are precision shots, while being a 3 shot kill with 1 precision shot (~135 damage for precision shot and then 63-65 for the second body shot, which means a nice flat 198-200 damage, which is survivable by ALL classes when specced for armor, hence three shot kill) now lets put this in perspective, i just compared the damage of my propose exotic, with a non exotic PRIMARY weapon, and the damage numbers, come out about even, and remember this is aHEAVY weapon, which means in crucible it will only have ammo once or twice per game, and even then, given teh standard ammo considerations in crucible, it would likely only have 30 rounds, and it's ammo regening perk IS NOT ACTIVE in crucible (hence the minions of darkness line) and yes the reason why i proposed this as a heavy is so i could give it that extra punch in terms of range and rate of fire, if i reduced the range significantly, i might as well propose this as some sort of full auto scout rifle exotic, instead of a machinegun that it is. also, i am not a pvp player, but i definitely tried to include pvp balance in the design of this, but i have a question, in the crucible, is ANY of the meta, or game balanced around HEAVY weapons? because last i checked, the most common weapons to get kills with in crucible...are shotguns, and sniper rifles, both of which have a primary version that has it's ammo refreshed CONSTANTLY adn is damn near always available. aka has ANY pvp balance changes been made to any heavy weapon for the pvp meta?

  • I dunno. Again im not trying to just dump on your idea and effort, it just holds limited appeal to me and seems a bit over the top.
