Despite what has been said about Bungie not listening, by myself and the community. Yes. They add some things to the game that the community asks for. Great. good on them for that. HOWEVER. For the most part this is only done when a DLC is nearing or DURING a DLC. Most changes this game receives are only during DLCs. Bungie doesn't give us frequent patches like overwatch does. It takes eons for us to receive small patches. I play a lot of games, I know when to admit a company does right and Bungie does do right sometimes. My main problem is delivery. It's always extremely late to the point where everyone is already extremely bitter. Good change may be good change, but it can come too little too late. Bungie still needs to step up their game on patches for balance/bugs and the liveteam needs more hands. A game like this needs support constantly, not every several months. I'm sorry but I do disagree with your example. Destiny is a product, a product I expect to work, it is not a beta, it is a full product. When we're to the point where we say something is good because it isn't exploding in our face, that's how you know our standards have been lowered.

  • Overwatch, Blizzard title. You know how big Blizzard is? Comparing Blizzard to Bungie is like comparing Microsoft to Dave's PC repair shop. Totally different team sizes, plus I don't see Blizzard Launching an Overwatch 2 anywhere in the near future which means their dev team can fully focus on Overwatch.

  • and Warframe? small team with constant updates and patches across consoles AND PC and direct feedback from devs. you don't have to like Warframe by DE shit all over bungie in how to run a game

  • Again a team focused on One thing, aka no one is working on the sequel (that I know of because I don't follow that game).

  • Well they just keep improving and updating the current game...SOTR is a massive update (also free!) There is no need for Destiny 2 now they have ditched last-gen. They could continue to build upon the current environment but I fear everything is about to be made redundant for D2 so we can fork out a bunch more money and start again...

  • Umm if D2 means 60fps, better graphics, and the possibility of dedicated servers (the last of which is a slim to fat chance) Id take my chances, unless my Character doesn't carry over then I can retire from Destiny. Also I noticed how you avoided the port question so until someone says otherwise (would love to have legit info on this) Im gonna guess its a PC game ported to consoles which should be easier to do vs doing console to PC.

  • What port question??? Warframe runs on PC, PS4 and Xbone...my point is now Destiny only runs on consoles so there is already less of a dev burden, but somehow Bungie mange to get people to pay more for less.

  • ... You apparantly don't know how video games work dev wise between consoles and pc so heres a quick run down. Batman Arkham Knight is a console title that was ported to PC and the PC launch was a failure. No Mans Sky is a PC title that was ported to a console (PS4) and for the most part works a few bugs here or there on PS4 so far but those have been or are being fixed. So if Warframe is a PC game thats ported to console the ported content is usually very stable, where as the console to PC port has a few issues with every patch.

  • In other words Warframe doesn't have a larger Dev burden than Bungie if all they have to do is port the PC patch to consoles.

  • By that stupid logic then all games should be developed on PC and 'just' ported across because it's easier than just developing on consoles???

  • Ok fine. Jagex, creators of runescape have a ninja team made of only a handful of members. They're like the liveteam and they give us crazy amounts of patchnotes nearly every week AND they give us a update they make sometimes. Then we have the oldschool team. That's a small team and they give us patches and updates in a matter of weeks. Hell there are popular modders on PC who release bug fix patches VERY quickly. Some even make mods very quickly.

  • You seem to fail to see my point. A team that focuses on only one thing vs a team thats working on multiple things. Which one is gonna be able to pump out more content for something that is currently up an running? Easy the team working on one thing.

  • What are you talking about? The liveteam generally focuses on the same things the ninja team at jagex does. I gave you an example that makes more sense. It seems it's you who doesn't understand, or maybe you don't want to. If you disagree that's fine, but don't just sit here and knock for nothing.

  • You really think the live team isnt also working on D2? You'd be crazy to think they weren't especially if they plan on keeping the events like Festival and SRL in D2. Unless of course you want those to be buggy as hell in D2, and D2 SRL to have 2 maps. 2 measly maps.
