If anything they're finally doing thier jobs. And that phrase and usage of that word has always been against the CoC.

 • But why? People who get offended by that need to toughen up, God people are sensitive enough already with all this "safe place" bs going on but this is getting ridiculous

 • 1. Because using shorthand for a word that gets censored here is just as bad as bypassing the swearing censor. 2. When you take part in conversation here your content should be appropriate for a 13 year old and his or her parents at the same time. Imagine you're having a conversation with a couple of parents and their middle school child, what kind of content and language would you use? 3. It's bigoted and shows that the person is either small minded, hateful, homophobic, disrespectful of others, or just an absolute ass at best. 4. Saying things like, "People should just get over it." shows me how little you know about the vast spectrum of people and how individuals should be treated. Be respectful of others as I assume that's what you'd expect of them.

 • 1. Still shouldn't offend anybody coming from a forum post 2. I kind of see what you're getting at, but at 13 years old there was a reason I wasn't allowed to visit forums. I say things I would say or talk about in real life, because forums are basically a way to get your voice heard over a longer distance, and not everything id say irl would be for a 13 year old to hear and in a space like this I'd see no reason to be held accountable for things I'd say to people I know, yes I get that forums have a wider range of people but I wouldn't let a 13 year old child into offtopic because people deserve to say what they want (unless it refutes scientific fact because that's stupid as hell) I wouldn't cater to a child's needs so neither should others. Best solution: remove problem from equation (problem being the child) 3. Yes I'm extremely sarcastic and stubborn which will make me come across as an asshole. That means when I say
-blam!-
it doesn't make me homophobic or gay shaming and it shouldn't be thought of that way in this day and age unless somebody deliberately says so 4. Despite being a sarcastic asshole I respect people, and I respect them enough to set my expectations high enough to believe they won't get offended and turn into a 10 year old little bitch by loosely used, hollow of meaning terms to describe the "original poster"

 • Jay, This was also his reply to me below.
Because they shouldn't mean anything coming from somebody behind a screen, and if it does mean something consider it a learning experience where they should learn to not be so emotional in the event that people say derogatory things to you in person. Especially f said derogatory terms are sarcastic, there is no reason for a ban. If somebody says
op is fgt
they're either sarcastic, trolling, or not worth the time or effort to respond, get into an argument with, or to ban. He called me a name behind a screen oh no...
You're right, his world view is very small.

 • That's either a rather bad excuse or you're fairly naive.
