I'm a shot gunner and there's so many ways to counter a SG. Nades, tlw, other SG, melee .......
Yet sniper only has one counter, another sniper. If a primary hits first it should take a sniper out of scope. Just doing that would really balance things.

Don't agree on the de-scoping. That'll just -blam!- up PVE play. But agree on the rest. Which is why I just laugh when snipers want to insist that CQC doesn't require any "skill". The ability to close to shotgun distance (unless the guy's a corner camper) WITHOUT getting you're own head blown off takes a lot of MOVEMENT skill. But snipers play such a passive style that many of them don't realize this.

If you want a de scope mechanic go play halo. I highly doubt Bungie will do anything like that in Destiny and make it specific to a single weapon archetype.

The only way to effectively counter is with a shotgun or team shoot anything else isnt a gaurentee. Trust snipers need a flinch change on primary critical hit but shotguns are far less counterable than snipers.
