and people say destiny has no story.
i know, i know, "its not in the gaem!"
but i rather like it this way: you, yes YOU, need to dig deep to find it. you need to play the game and find its secrets then retreat home, off of the battlefield, and decipher what you found. and then decipher it further, because what we find is only pieces, snipets, little single cards of a whole deck.

I'd didn't pay 180 bucks so I have to make up a story myself thanks... they better tell it to me and better tell it to me right.
-
They do tell it to you. It's just not spoon-fed poorly written, improperly dubbed, rubbish you're used to. Might want to get used to foreign concepts like close reading, context clues, and inference. You'll be needing those in college. Try reading some Derrida or Walter Benjamin.

this isnt player imagined, this is pieced together from the gromoire cards. its not out-right told to us directly, but by indirect means. the speaker told us the traveler willingly fought for us and sacrificed itself, but from reading all of the grimoire, it becomes apperent that such was not the case at all. OP talks about how rasputin DEFINITELY shot the traveler, but if he initiated it or the traveler did is still up for debate. story telling isnt just an out-put mechanism, it can be an input mechanism too. hell, look at inception: people will debate on the ending and what it means, and The Killing Joke does this too: was it still a dream? did batman FINALLY kill joker? it would have been typical and normal (but still good) if the story teller told us what it meant exactly, but its so much better by letting US decide for ourselves. you also didnt pay 180 bucks for a story to be told to you, you payed for an engaging game to play. (because if you just wanted the story then you'd watch a youtube video f it, for free)

Excellent points
-
I completely disagree. With every point.
-
so this IS all player-imagined? and it was all found in one clear source? directly told to us? the speaker told us the traveler tried to selfishly dip? the grimoire DOESNT say ras shot the traveler? OP DOESNT talk about ras shooting traveler? story telling is only an out-put mechanism, and can NEVER be affected by the audience/fans? people DONT debate their interpretation of the ending to inception and killing joke? and they do not have an interpretation of them at all? those stories were NOT good and it is BAD to be intrigued by a story beyond the confines of the medium? and finally that you DID pay 180 strictly for a story and nothing else, and that you cannot find a free video of such on youtube? thats what your saying, right?
-
Well you aren't making it up yourself. I do agree it should be in game in some sort of library.
-
No. No library, I didn't pay to read. There better be cinematics.
-
Given that you have already paid, not just once, (more than likely) but multiple times, and also given that the story is included via Grimoire cards which you must read, it is only logical that you wish to read the story.
-
Okay... You might as well just go watch a movie then. Video games with good story consist of a lot of backstory usually only available in books.
-
I would if they'd -blam!-ing make one!! A movie hopefully without any lag!!
-
Well aren't you rare
