[b]Okay, here's my feedback from the announcements. First the positive things I liked, the "meh", then things I didn't. If I don't mention it, I either don't know enough about it or don't care. [/b] GOOD STUFF: "1:11 need to be closer, no more speed revives 1:12 two seconds added to trials revives. 7 first death, 14 second, etc" [b]Agree that Trials revives needed some adjustment. Very difficult for a more casual than die hard player to work against a die hard team that has revives down to a science. [/b] "1:17 now spawn with special ammo again. No more Icebreaker workaround. 1:18 special ammo spawns in later at 3 minute and 5 minute marks. Overall less special ammo." [b]Sure, OK. Not sure if this helps even out the sniper meta, but I like having special for my fusion right from the get go.[/b] "1:21 Crucible legendary drops increased (none drop in game they finish lol)" [b]Sure, Cool. Could always use more 3 legendary marks. AMIRIGHT GUYS?!?!?! Guys? Okay moving on..[/b] "1:22 can get up to 335 from Shaxx weekly bounty. 1:23 lighthouse chest drop weapons and armor now up until 335 1:23 trials bounties up to 330 and new daily bounty added 1:25 IB artifact and ghost will drop at 320" [b]Sure, OK. Will believe it when I see it but sounds good. [/b] "1:31 Fusion stability increase across board. Claim less kick..." [b]SWEET. Wait... DID THEY JUST BUFF FUSION RIFLES?!?!?!?! [/b] "1:31 snipers zoom distance increased a bit on short site scopes 1:33 two frames of zoom time increase. snapshot 20% down from 30% increase 1:34 all snipers slight stability nerf" [b]I am seriously all for doing things to help level out the sniper meta. I snipe all the time in PVE. I couldn't hit the side of a barn in PVP, and I get my ass handed to me all the time by snipers. Can't even play Trials at all because of it. I like a straight up gun fight. I win those 60%-70% of the time. But honestly I don't think the above is enough. Why no adjustments to aim assists and the hit box WTF is that shit? There are countless videos of head shot where the cross hairs were no where near the person... [/b] "1:36 Suros slight buff from AR buff. Spinning up starts 4 rounds later. 1:37 focus fire range buff, can be maxed" [b]Cool. Been wanting to try out Suros again. [/b] "1:41 Icebreaker ammo no longer persists when switching weapons. Less stability. 1:42 ammo doesn't persist from Sidearms either." [b]It's about -blam!-ing time. I can't believe it took them this long to fix this. I guess better late than never...[/b] "Warlock Changes" [b]I don't play Lock, so I don't know how painful this is to them. But, making them easier to kill is OK with me. I sure think that Landfall, Storm Trance duration, and Radiance shield and duration were on the "WTF? REALLY???" side, but I never got my undies in a twist over it. [/b] "1:47 Quillem's, less ammo" [b]Yeah, I don't have one of those. That f-ing thing and the lucky a-hole that used it would get like 3 kills on me with one HM drop sometimes... usually because I was playing like a dumbass but STILL. [/b] MEH THING: [b]Handcannon changes. Thorn changes....? Do we have to remind Bungie that it's year 2 and Thorn is a Y1 weap? [/b] THE UGLY: "1:19 heavy ammo once per match now at 5 minute mark" [b]I hate this. I love the mad rush to heavy 3 times a match. They BETTER elminate or serverly lesson requirements for Heavy Weapons Crucible Bounties, especially Iron Banner ones. [/b] "1:29 ARs high RoF damage nerf" [b]This is too bad. I love my Hatchet for PVP. Got a pretty good roll and I feel I can compete with any other primary and secondary with it. We will see how bad the damage nerf is[/b] "1:35 MIDA (oh -blam!-)" [b]"MIDA Multi-Tool is very popular. What are we doing to make it less popular?" These words came out of Deej's mouth during the presentation. And I don't believe it was a "slip". I believe Bungie actually thinks this way. Instead of "Hey, MIDA is really kicking the shit out of people... what can we do to some other gun types to make them more competitive". That's -blam!-ing sad...[/b] "Less special ammo players can hold. More bricks drop in PvE to offset" [b]In addition to a nerf on amount of Heavy you can hold, with NO bricks in PVE to offset. This is a yet another dumb decision in a very long line of dumb decisions that relate to PVE players being a victim to PVP nerfs. It's -blam!-ing stupid. 100% of all PVE players will be affected negatively because 20% of PVP players run around and "collect special ammo". -blam!-ING STUPID! [/b] "1:44 talking consistency in experience" [b]This one really took the cake. J-Dubya telling us that Bungie "philosophy" is that PVE and PVP experiences should be the same. What a crock of shit. PVE and PVE ARE NOT THE SAME. You play both differently, you use different weapons, the very fundamentals of how you act/react/shoot/move are ALL DIFFERENT. Either your developers are either too ignorant to realize that making changes that hurt one game type to buff another is not something that a game developer of your stature should be doing, or you have consciously made the decision that trying to separate PVE and PVP changes are not worth the resources to perform. Don't give me some shit about "consistency in experience" between PVP and PVE. I could go all -blam!-ing day on this. STFU!!!!![/b] Anyways, that's all I've got for now, see you guys later.

  • The one heavy per match seems like a mistake to me as well. If one team can get both drops, it seems like it will affect the outcome too much with no chance for the other team to get heavy later.

  • I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they are reducing the amount of heavy ammo you pick up.

  • It only spawns kind once per match and yes, some machine guns are getting ammo reserves letter lowered.

  • Just one thing, your Hatchet should be fine as it's a mid rate of fire AR. Only the max rate of fire autos were nerfed. Looked like it did one point of damage less (15 compare to 16 for crits).

  • The high RoF autos are Doctorine, Arminius-D, Atheon's Epilogue and Nechrochasm (I'm sure many blues as well). Haackon's Hatchet (excuse the spelling), Hard Light, Zhalo Supercell, Monte Carlo, Fabian Strategy without the front lines perk, Zerinaea-D, and Paleocontact were untouched, so you can take a breath of relief. What this does probably mean, though, is that Fabian's front lines perk probably got nerfed, because that changed it to the high RoF archetype... *sigh*

  • I was really hoping they would fix the hand cannon accuracy a wee bit this time around. There's nothing worse than losing a gunfight because one or two of your shots didn't count. The additional thorn nerf makes me wonder if it's coming back. (Otherwise why bother?)

  • People do still use Thorn in regular Crucible. Shit, I do. I use it once a week to get my 10 HC kills for the Weekly Crucible Bounty.
