next thing you know someone posts on ebay or creates a website to sell in-game destiny items "selling 320 Titan Helmet $50" and Destiny becomes a game where the hardcore players make money off of acquiring weapons and armor to sell for real money while the people with money to spare make progress in-game faster than those who are simply unlucky with rng but cant afford to buy gear off of someone else either...... the idea of trading is great, but the ideas people get from it - not as much

Borderlands did it, i would not worry about the ebay issue. Second, its a persons choice to be that stupid to loose money on an rng gun in the game. Third, you can always enable trading restrictions (same tiers, same types, clanmates only etc..)

Edited by sugahray_: 2/17/2016 8:04:35 AMfirst off Destiny is not Borderlands.... and it's not about whether someone is stupid or not to be buying items obtained from rng, but rather gaining unfair progression advantages based on wealth in real-life.... if people are willing to pay for a pointless dance move, they as hell will be willing to pay a weapon they actually need... restrictions can always be worked around.... possible scenarios, i have a vault full or 320 primaries, someone has a vault full of 320 helmets... i need the helmet but he doesnt need primaries, he asks for lets say $20 to make the trade....... maybe he went flawless and got an adept Trials pulse rifle, and i just did the oryx challenge and got the raid pulse rifle with the perks he wanted..... $20 for an adept weapon.... friends only? pay to add him and trade... clan only? pay to join the clan then make the trade.... that one website that charges real money for Trials carries is already causing a controversy within the community, this will just add to it... and lastly knowing Bungie, im sure they know people will be playing less if they already have what they need without actually playing.... its about keeping players coming back for more and try their luck for their rewards.... Bungie aint stupid

Some good points, the trade restrictions i mentioned were all out the top of my head, nothing serious. But i get your point. Cheers
