I have this problem alot. Especially the up hill battle to get past 300 Light Level. All in all it would be nice to have a way to get more. I have a lot of gear that needs to be upgraded yet I all do is ration out armor materials between my characters.

Me too! Oh my goodness. I don't know why the gunsmith or the vanguard vendor hasn't started selling armor materials. With infusion I'm burning through them after every raid.

Apart of me thinks it would give a leg up to some players in the game, who other wise would give an advantage to that normally wouldn't if they just grinded out more.

I would like to think a rising tide lifts all boats, but I hear you. Does not having enough armor materials contradict what Bungie said at the start of year two about wanting people to wear whatever they want to wear and customize their look? I feel like I'm locked into my high light gear more often than I would like and that I run certain subclasses only because I have chest armor to give me the extra armor with that subclass.

You know what, if they had like a "trade up armor" place where I would give legendary marks to get a duplicate of the armor just better level, I'd be up for that! What do you think? Then you could keep your look & better light level.

I'd absolutely be down for that. And they already have so many different economies going I don't see why they couldn't add one more.

Even if they had a way to use Motes of Light & Legendary Marks together to completely upgrade all parts of your armor, in one shoot, it would negate the use of armor plates. All I know is they need to do something. I totally agree that I should keep the gear I like & have a way to level it without hindering my game play. I guess we would have to make a big issue about it to make them see it. If it means anything I have seen videos and post from people asking then to add a a way to get more armor plates just don't know if they are working on it.

Well at least people are talking about it. Bungie has been good about responding to other suggestions and complaints, so I guess it's all about keeping that conversation topic in the threads.
