Unfortunately there is no way around it. The Taken King is not eligible for a free transfer to next generation consoles.

Thats cute Kellogs acting like you care. If you cared you would want as many people as you could playing the game who had purchised it. Just like you would not have profile lock on the taken king for the 360. children

While you are correct, buying the DLC in-game on 360 profile locks it so you can't share the license with anyone, it IS available in the Xbox Store on the 360. I know it wasn't for at least a month after the release (I honestly have no idea when it was finally put into the marketplace), but if the DLC is bought through there, it should be able to be shared. What pisses me off most is that buying it the profile locked way does not transfer it up to the One. Absolutely EVERYTHING else that is in-game content gets brought over, so why not this? It's just one of the many, many, many reasons Bungie is losing their community of gamers.

I don't understand the profile lock on 360?! Also he doesn't work for Bungie.

I do hope you realize he's not an employee...

I undestand he is not an employee but he is representing bungie by being a mentor. So he desevers to be treated as an employee when it comes to posting on the message board. Atleast I did not call him an asshat like I the chicken casmo

Thanks for the info. With Destiny uninstalled, I will now have room for The Division and Dark Souls 3.
