Yo Sols, check this out. Autos: Nerfed because Iron Banner data showed "everyone" using the SUROS. (20 auto rifle headshot bounty, really?) Pulses: Nerfed. (Buffed because "data" once again showed a trend that didn't agree with Bungie's bullshit philosophy. Nerfed after they realized their buff made pulses "OP" with autos still being garbage.) Handcannons: Nerfed. (Buffed Thorn for NO reason. Let Thorn final round glitch go unchecked for 2 years. Never fixed it. Thorn buff created Trials of Thorn and Iron Thorn. "Hey guys, Thorn is OP as fck, let's fix it. Wait, no, that's stupid, let's just RUIN ALL HANDCANNONS instead." Oh, what's that? Handcannons are the new meta now because autos and pulses suck balls? Better nerf those too! -1000 ADS accuracy, range, and ammo capacity, because fck pve players, right?) Fusions: Nerfed. (Hey guys...let's nerf the accuracy on fusions...they 1 shot too often. Oh shit, guys we forgot about the range, let's nerf that too. Okay okay, but WAIT, we still need to nerf the accuracy more, just one more time guys. OMFG HOLY SHIT GUYS, nerf the accuracy AGAIN they are still too good. *sigh* finally. Now that they can't hit the broad side of a barn, let's nerf their ammo capacity and range just to fck over pve players. Why? Because fck pve players that's why.) Shotguns: Nerfed. (Hey guys, shotguns are too good after we nerfed fusions. Everyone in the forums says they have too much range. Oh yeah? Don't worry, we've got this. Let's give everyone a Felwinter's Lie with Rangefinder and Hammer forged. What could go wrong, right? Oh and while we're at it, let's let players reforge weapons so everyone can get shot package and knee pads. Fcking great idea right? Oh shit, everyone has God roll shotguns, wtf do we do? Guys, man your battle stations! We need a priority 1 nerf right NAO! *Phew* that was close. 2 months later* Hey guys, I know we nerfed shotguns twice already, but they are STILL too good. I know, let's get rid of shot package, because, well we don't really know how to balance anything so this must be the problem. *6 months later* FOR CRYING OUT LOUD they STILL have too much range! This is the last nerf, guys, pinky promise. Now shotguns can only 1 shot at melee range, slow players down, and reload and aim slower. Surely they've been nerfed enough, right? RIGHT?!) -->me awaiting 2016 shotgun nerf 4.0 -_- Scouts: Buffed. (Nobody uses scouts, guys. They need a buff. 6 months later* Hey guys, people still aren't using scouts. This can't possibly have anything to do with the fact that all of our maps are tiny as fck. Scout rifles fit our philosophy perfectly!) Snipers: Untouched. (Nobody ever snipes so snipers must be fine, right guys? I mean I know shotguns and fusions are ass now, but that doesn't mean everyone will suddenly start sniping...right guys? Guys?) Sidearms: Untouched. (Why the fck did we even make these things?) Tl;Dr summary of Destiny's pvp balancing since launch.
