The only opinion that matters is Bungie's and they think it's fine as is, hence the lack of a nerf (for a change) to it in the update.

I don't want hammer to be nerfed to the ground and I don't think it was fair that one bad apple spoiled the bunch and I agree that's wrong. Bungie just needs to get their heads out of their asses and not make these things op in the first place
-
It's not OP, if anything It's leveled the playing field with gold gun.
-
I actually hate the golden gum argument its a three kill super that has zero armor increase. A shotgun, grenade, sniper, essentially anything can kill it. A hammer however takes a collaboration of numerous people to take down, on top of being able to get more kills, and healing you
-
No it doesn't. I can't tell you how many times my wife has been clipped right in the middle of her hammer by a single person. Gold gun is a complete aim bot, that's why she runs gunslinger with the symbiote helm for an extra shot. The playing field is level, you don't like the argument because you're a Hunter and don't want to lose your place on the PvP food chain

Does anyone understand how to spell Activi$ion?

Edited by Hyper_Adept: 11/17/2015 11:15:38 PMThe subclass changes are coming in the December patch. "We’re looking at all the numbers. The guns you used. The ways you fought. The hammers you threw, or caught with your face. In the weeks to come, we’ll share a lot of details for how we’ll be refining various weapons and classes in an upcoming December update. It will address some things you’ve told us, as well as some of what we’ve noticed during our constant study of the battles that rage among you." Trust Me when I say we can debate about this as much as We want .... But I'll put money on the fact that Sunbreaker and more specifically the Hammer of Sol is going to be nerfed.
-
If it does get nerfed, then the only way to fix it is to force the nerf herders out of this game, by any means necessary.

Edited by xROGUEx: 11/17/2015 10:40:58 PMWaiting for die hards to realize nothing is changing. You'd think that wish list that has remained the same for a year would be a clue.

You'd think right?

Edited by Hyper_Adept: 11/17/2015 11:28:55 PMI dunno Rogue , People moaned about Suros Regime and auto rifles got a Nerf People Moaned about Plan C and fusion rifles got a Nerf People Moaned about Thorn and Last word and Handcannons got destroyed. People moaned about Shotguns and they got a nerf People moaned about Final round on Snipers and that received a Nerf People moaned about Blink and that got a nerf I'd say the only thing that remains consistent is Bungies ability NOT to ever get it right. Instead of balancing to the right Level they seem to 'Blanket Nerf' everything ... Auto rifles are useless because of Suros Hand cannons have had the accuracy ruined just because of Thorn and LW No-one uses Fusion rifles anymore Pulse Rifles were Over buffed. Looking at the forums and the quote I posted above from last weekly update I'd say that Hammer of Sol is gonna get 'Balanced' in a big way. It is OP right now , But with a little tweaking it could become well balanced and Titans do need an aggressive pushing super. I just hope that for the sake of the Titans they don't go nuts and absolutely destroy it.
-
Pulse Rifles were Over buffed.
Not so fast. Pulse rifles were still very Scarce in the Crucible UNTIL everything else was nerfed out of the way. That's all.
-
Not quite correct , But close. Pulse Rifles were buffed heavily in patch 1.1.1.1 because Bungie at the same said they were being underused. At the same time - Auto rifles were blanket nerfed and Hand cannons took a hit to initial accuracy. The reason Pulse rifles became more used wasn't because everything else was nerfed or solely because they were buffed heavily it was actually a combination of these things that made them the go-to weapon they are today.
-
Up until 2.0, the only prevalent Pulse Rifles were The Messnger and Hopscotch Pilgrim. After Hand Cannons were effectively removed from the competitive playing field, pulse rifles took over. Before that point though, Scouts and AR's and Pulses were all relatively competitive. Thorn and TLW were just SO widely used.
-
What about Strangers Rifle , 55-Allfate and Red Death ?
-
They were all good in their own right, but they weren't as sought after. Messenger and Hopscotch were like the Thorn and TLW of pulse rifles.
-
Ayy you forgot three little words
-
I haven't seen one of those in a while. lol

Edited by Hyper_Adept: 11/19/2015 4:24:25 AMAnd Red Death , the most widely used Crucible Pulse rifle of all time .....
-
Widely used now, but of all time? Hardly. It was slow and unwieldy up until TDB, but when Bungie increased the RoF, they reduced the damage and killed its 2-burst potential. It only returned to power after the universal Pulse Rifle buff, but was quickly overshadowed by the Max impact Pulse rifles. It was consistently outgunned by the Exotic Hand Cannons and only returned to the scene now for its regenerative abilities, most noticeably for Trials.

Edited by Hyper_Adept: 11/19/2015 4:24:21 PMYeah , Whatever.

I suppose you haven't been around long enough to have experienced that bit of weapon history, though...
-
Edited by Hyper_Adept: 11/19/2015 5:05:41 PMYou pulled the Grimoire card lol , So funny ....
-
The point I'm trying to make, is that things have changed A LOT before you even started playing. If you want to make a solid argument, it helps to know the whole story.

Edited by Hyper_Adept: 11/19/2015 5:26:27 PMHow do You know that this isn't a new account started only two months ago and that I don't have another two accounts on both Xbox One AND PS4 with a Crucible DTR Trueskill of 50 in Destiny PvP and have played since Beta ?

By all means, prove me wrong. My ego knows no mercy.
