In the attached video they use the strategy to where they take down only one orb per wave and put in some serious DPS! Is this ideal?! Or do you feel the strategy where they shoot down all 6 is key?!?
I really want to discuss the fastest and most ideal strategies so can beat this raid QUICKLY!

Six orbs. Less than half health after one run. Fight lasts only a few minutes.

6 Replies1 Orb, Weapons of Light. All black spindles. Gg
-
2 orbs

Single orb is better in my opinion. The reason is that it allows for everyone to jump into one goo puddle and do massive DPS on Gol. If you rotate the orbs you need two gaze grabbers and can end up getting nuked in the pit by the adds.
-
We did the six orb method the first time around. I personally don't care what people do. The single orb method is really popular because it's less overall coordination needed to succeed. I like it just fine for that alone.

2 RepliesWhat's with the hate on the 1 orb strat? I just don't get the need to be an elitist ass about how people are killing Golgo. However you kill him, good on ya. My group tried the six orb, but the coordination wasn't there so we tried the one orb and finished him. We'd already been there for a while because the six of us were running blind and just wanted to be done with him. Tell you what though, I'm making his gurgling noise my new ring tone. Inb4 the "then your group sucks" replies. Go try to impress someone else with your epeen antics.

There isn't a best way to kill Golgoroth, just use the strategy that you're more use to it.

One orb with one gaze black spindle the shit out of him done

Edited by Ohhh54321: 10/5/2015 2:18:59 PMDo 2 orbs per wave you should kill him within 3-4 rounds this way

5 RepliesLook at all these scrubs with 1 orb strategy
-
7 Replies1 orb strategy is for casuals 6 orbs is for players with SKILL
-
3 Replies6 orbs is the best way its much faster and only takes two waves to kill him. If you do 1 orb you are just a filthy common.
-
My team does the 6 orbs. In two rounds (12 orbs) he was done. We start from the left, then right, then left, right again.. U get the idea. I was in charge of taking the gaze on the left side, once I was was done with my orbs, I joined the DPS team on the last orb on the right.
-
Only do 6 of u have a competent team.
-
6 RepliesMy main raid group does 6 orbs but if I'm helping randoms I always suggest one orb, slower but more safe

I ran through King's Fall for the first time on Saturday (couldn't kill Oryx...our DPS output was too low). Golgoroth was the first time we all had to take a break for a few hours and come back to it. We tried the 6 orb strategy at first and communication just kept falling apart, not to mention we kept running out of ammo. When we came back, we tried the 1 orb strategy. After about 2-3 wipes, we got the feel for it. Much less communication and timing is needed, and there was a lot less anger. For our team, it was the better strategy, plus we could have 5 people throwing damage into him rather than just 4. Once the Taken start spawning, that's when we had to change orb locations, but other than that....yeah.

1 ReplyOne orb is quick and easy when you have people using black spindle
-
1 Reply1 orb, just because its alot harder for people to screw up
-
My group does 3 orbs per wave, we just use the left. 1 gazer each side will switch the gaze between them, to the right so we take an orb out, to the left when orb is down to dps in the pool, switch back to right to take 2nd orb and repeat for 3 orbs on left. Then wave of adds then repeat the gaze switch with left orbs.
-
The difference between 1 orb with 1 gazer and all orbs with 2 gazers is that 1 orb is going to be must easier for a pug to accomplish because communication isn't the best in a group of randoms.

1 ReplyNeed 1 experience players that know what their doing Oryx CP MSG me for INV 297+
-
1 ReplySince I don't have a raid team and I raid with randoms, I use the one orb strategy. If I had a legit team I would use 6 orb strategy. I have defeated Golgoroth using both.
-
2 Replies1 orb killed him in 2 Dropped him by 55% in one go
-
6 orbs if you're actually good.
-
The best strat is to use 1 orb. My group was able to drop him about 25% on the first one. Then with a tether/weapons of light combo, we got him to the taken phase. It offers more dps, and less chance of dying to those cursed thralls.

Took 3 runs using the 1 orb strategy with a team who was new to the raid. I'd use 6 if we were all really high light. But 1 orb is sufficient to get the job done and simple enough for newbies to the raid to accomplish
