Final Programming Note: Just after E3 we announced a $20 Upgrade that would provide the option for Year One Guardians to pick up the Emotes and Class Items from the Digital Collector’s Edition. That offering will be available in your console marketplace or store at The Taken King’s launch on September 15th. To those of you who had already purchased a Digital Collector’s Edition prior to that announcement, we promised that we’d have some additional information for you:
Thank You TravisSch. I missed that while skimming over the article. Weekly reset for me is at 4am. I'm assuming that is when the Taken King will go live. Do you know about that as well? You don't have to post a quote I trust your answer. Another side note, with pre downloading does it actually download everything early or does it just download as access to TTK becomes available? I'm struggling with buying the digital over the collectors edition in disc form, that's why I ask. Which I understand that even with the disc version of the TTK It'll still be a code inside I have to redeem but as I'll get home at 12.30am from the game store that leaves me 3 1/2 hrs to download before reset hits.

Yea, the weekly reset time has not changed. Bungie has not confirmed a time as to when the Taken King expansion will be activated on 9-15. The Taken King assets will actually be downloaded from the 2.0.0 update on September 8th, a week before the Taken King expansion is released. Bungie has the file sizes of the update in the weekly update I linked. If you're buying the digital version of the Taken King from the Xbox/PS Store, you are just downloading a file that says you own the expansion. You will, however, download the 18GB of expansion content on September 8th in the 2.0.0 update (if on XB1/PS4). From the Weekly Update:
Make sure you’re set on Hard Drive Space If you’re playing Destiny on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One: Make sure that you’ve got enough storage space clear. You’ll need around 18GB free for the required update. To make sure you’re ready to play as soon as possible, consider turning on the automatic downloading of game updates on your console. Remember that downloads may incur bandwidth charges from your internet provider (consult your provider).
