Before HoW when everyone was hunting the "Pack of Wolves," that was a really fun experience. Tons of people in Skywatch just hanging out waiting for the next roaming pack of wolves. The rewards were mediocre but it was enjoyable looting the chests as many times as possible before time ran out. It really did help build excitement for HoW when it finally dropped. Then they nerfed the loot chests and now hardly anyone takes part in those world events.

  • public events were like this at one point too, now look at them. just empty action going on that no one takes any notice of and quite rightly so, the rewards are ..er.. well, there are no public event rewards, shambolic shell is what this is fast becoming.

remember why you were hunting them. For keys, so you can get loot. No other reason. Getting the key was everything. But since you figured out that keys just give you queen's weapons that are basically bargain versions of the ones you already had, it became a chore. Am I correct in my assessment?

I don't buy DLCs and therefore never played PoE. I enjoyed turning in dozens of blues and a handful of purples into the Cryptarch and seeing if I hit the lottery. That was fun for me.
