Agreed.
-
The game is already ruined
-
If you don't like destiny then get off the Destiny forums we don't need destiny haters posting destiny sucks every 2 seconds
-
I like destiny but the loot system is broken and the weapon balance is broken
-
There is no loot system it's rng but I agree pvp needs some weapon balancing
-
I have 3 gjallarhorns and would give 2 away to any random dude i'd game with who needs it and is chill. So yeah that would Totally ruin the whole "lfg élitist squeaker" embargo you seem to favor..
-
People would charge money and with trading everyone would have the best stuff and the game would be extremely easy for new people and it wouldn't be fair to people that have been playing for a long time
-
So the Taken King collector edition giving xp boosting gear to new players as well as other exclusives whilst shafting veterans by making them rebuy the whole game for 80$ is fair and doesnt make the game extremely easy for only some players? Youre argument is just that youre a selfish dude who doesnt want to share. And people charging money for guns? Thats Bungie's job to monitor, they dont do shit on here anyways. And you have to be prêtty pathétic to pay for guns so..
-
The collectors edition isn't fair and bungie will TRY to monitor trading but they can't monitor people's emails or private msgs that aren't on bungie.net
-
Well Destiny has died down just a bit, I don't think real life trading will harm the game too much.
-
Selling guns for real money would be like selling mods in cod that's not they want people to do but people will find a way to do it

Here's the thing about trading in Destiny and why gold farmers probably wouldn't be much of a worry... Destiny is built to not give appropriate rewards, and it's soley based on luck whether a player gets something good or not, in most cases players get crap. If a 3rd party was trying to make a profit off of selling Gally or Mythoclast they'd certainly have their work cut out for them. I'd honestly be surprised if they managed to make a profit at all. Destiny is already built to discourage gold farmers and the like. We have weekly lockouts on the nightfalls, the raids, PoE, and Xur only comes on the weekends (which would really be their only hope like most other Destiny players). If farmers didn't get an item from an activity they'd have to wait a week and even that next week they'd probably fall short again. Not to mention that if they tried to make new characters frequently they would still have to level them up and get geared up. I don't know if you've made any new characters recently but Legendary engrams don't grow on trees, and hitting Rank 2/3 on factions to get gear for endgame will take at least a few days to even access endgame activities. I can understand why people are so against trading based on how it's handled in other games, but looking at the way Destiny is built I don't see very many negatives. Not just this, but peoples ideas of traditional trading in video games like WoW and the like won't work in Destiny, there won't be a trading post or anything. If bungie were to implement trading it would only be between friends/fireteam members, and players would probably only be able to trade between certain items/currencies that are equivalent to each other. Many people only ever think about how things "won't work", but put a little thought and you'll see how it would/could work. There are negatives to everything, and Destiny already has so many negatives about it with current features and implementations. Player trading honestly would be the least of our worries.

Edited by Legend of Jordy: 6/21/2015 11:14:39 PMYou bring up some good points, but having MMO experience, I'm not sure it could work without modification. If trading wasn't limited... let's say trading was based off the glimmer limit. You'd see real world traders hoarding items like Gjallarhorn, they would try to get the majority of the item so there is low amount available and a high demand. There would need to be certain limits for trading to prevent this. A low glimmer cap could solve this. Also maybe adding in a rare consumable item that enables an item to become traded could help it work. Like an etheric light type item you put on a weapon which enables it to be tradeable.

I've leveled a 2nd warlock and a second Titan in the past few weeks and if you level a character you keep the armor for it example delete a hunter make another hunter all you have to do is level to 20 which is very easy in crucible then level the subclass I deleted my armor for the Titan and it is already level 31

Edited by Legend of Jordy: 6/21/2015 9:13:54 PMWell, shame on those players who trust random online sites for unofficial virtual trading. As long as there is a steady loot system, there can be a steady trading system. I might be a little bias but I honestly don't care wether trading is added at this point or not. I just was wondering what would have the highest value of trading existed. This thread is not meant for discussion wether trading should be implemented or not. It is simply a what if.

I think it would be pretty cool if people could trade at the nightfall screen. Example player 1 got thunderlord player 2 got a legendary or exotic weapon player 1 wants they could trade with each other that one specific item
-
Edited by Legend of Jordy: 6/21/2015 9:23:57 PMYes. I got a second Gjallarhorn from a nightfall in front of a friend who really wanted one. Being able to trade like that would be good.
-
In one nightfall the other guys both got ghorn and I got plan c :(
-
Maybe. Maybe not.
-
100% would
