Of course those COD refugees and Crucible elitist, who carry that "get good scrub" mantra, will tell you it's easy. The fact is, up until the House of Cards expansion, Destiny wasn't largely centralized around pandering towards the PVPers; now Bungie is all about it. I suppose it's a lot simpler to create a few circular maps, throw in a barrage of positive reinforcement numbers on the side screen to boost a player's ego, and have the gamers provide each other with the content Destiny is lacking; rather than regurgitating a couple extra story missions maps from the vanilla game, add some scaled up enemies, and call it the House of Wolves. Oh did I mention the giant butt hole in the Prison of Elders? There are players whose sole purpose is to play PVP in Destiny. They're highly skilled, highly coordinated, and they will not loose a match to a few PVEers who want play Destiny on with an omnivore like approach. Bungie catered towards them. They built them an elitist endgame LightHouse on Mercury where in rains etheric like candy, while the one time raiders are stuck dealing with the giant butt hole to get a few measly etheric materials, if they're lucky. Where's the elitist temple for those who've obtained the flawless raider achievement, as a matter of fact, where's the fůçķïñğ raid at? I once never set foot in the Crucible, now I find myself there more often. There's a few weapons that will always be used, if you don't have then, then you suck. The PVP is not balanced, and it will never be until they prescribe predetermined weapon load outs players can choose from.

  • Bungie made Halo. Halo had a great story, but the campaign wasn't what kept people coming back. The PVP was. Destiny is almost the exact opposite. The PvP is lackluster and until recently half baked. So was the PvE. They tried to service both and would up making neither happy. In my opinion destiny would be much better off with out the crucible. Just git rid of it and focus on the PvE experience. With all their resources focused on it they could probably pump out a much better experience. And in a world where borderlands 2, mass effect, bloodborne, and Call of duty exist bungie can't afford to disappoint both PvE and PvP players if they want to have a long term future with this game.

  • It's not about "getting good." Go in with a strong team and use communication/strategy. It is easy btw.

  • agree with a lot of this. enjoy the use of omnivore in relation to activities. good PVPers shouldn't have all the riches while good PVEers struggle to remain buoyant. this fresh outlook probably deserves a thread of it's own.
