I'm pretty sure this is one of the few versus threads of something from destiny versus something else where people outside of the Destiny fandom could easily agree with the fandom that the Destiny side will win.
Unless the geth somehow know how to deal with time traveling enemies...
EDIT: Eh, I've been even more wrong than this in the past.

I'd personally say it's a pretty even fight, though the vex's time abilities add for pretty decent advantage
-
Ummmm.....the geth for the most part are over lorded by reapers...who dont need time travel becuase the have been alive for all of known galactic time
-
Something did create them though, if I remember them correctly.
-
I thought that was just a rogue group of Beth that were lead by the reapers....
-
The rogue group were the ones opposed and that was only in num3

Edited by Bill Cosbys nuts: 5/2/2015 6:00:39 AMWhat are you talking about? The rogue Geth were led by the reapers in mass effect 2. The "heretics" followed the reapers while the "true" Geth did not as they wanted to "build their own future". in mass effect 3 all the Geth turned to the reapers and accepted reaper upgrades during the battle of rannoch to avoid being destroyed by the quarians when they attacked rannoch.
-
Really? Well shoot, I need to recheck my knowledge on the game (or find time to play he games since I happen to own 1 and 2).
-
You were right. This guy has no idea what he's talking about. Rogue Geth group referred to as the heretic Geth were led by reapers in mass effect 2. True Geth didn't follow reapers because they wanted to "build their own future" instead of having it given to them by reapers.

Alright, good to hear.
and I'm also not mistaken on all the vex being able to time travel, right?
-
I was always under the assumption that their ability to control time was limited to the vault.
-
I'm still pretty sure it's actually just something normal for all the vex. I can understand the idea of the vault being home to some higher up time manipulating tech, but the idea of a rogue faction (Atheon is a rogue vex and in charge of that place, right? I've had the misfortune of only having heard of that by threads others made on that subject months ago.) being the only members who can time travel feels like a strange case of another huge waste of potential plot ideas...
-
I'm pretty sure there isn't any rogue factions within the vex since they are an essentially a AI hive mind. If the vex has time control abilities regardless of location I'm sure absolute time control is only within the vault. Maybe outside of the vault they can control time but perhaps only in small increments. Like I said before I really don't think they have those abilities outside the vault. My reasoning is that there are no gorgons outside of vault and if I'm correct the gorgons can kill by manipulating time and erasing things from history.
-
I am most certainly familiar with the vex being a hivemind. Your first paragraph is one I can most certainly agree with.

That's only in the Vault of Glass that they are able to manipulate time. They can't do it outside yet
-
The heck are you talking about? The tech they use to teleport is their time travel tech.
-
Teleportation not time traveling
-
They converted Mars to a machine world in days. They can go to one side of the galaxy to another in less than a second. Groups of them exist to protect a place that exists outside of time. Bungie's whole schtick for these guys is that they're time traveling robots. If all they can do is teleport except for one rogue crystal golem of theirs and his glowing entourage, then why the -blam!- does the game make all of them sound like they can give zero -blam!-s about time, and why would Bungie have them be quickly summarized as "time-traveling robots"?
-
And lay off the language lassie
-
Where does Bungie summarize them as time traveling robots?
-
It was in an old mail sack that at this point will be too buried for me to find on Mobile (and I can't access my PC for a while). I'll see what kind of proof I can find on mobile.
-
Sounds good
-
Well, just googling "Vex Time Travel" lead to multiple threads before and around release day discussing vex being able to time travel as common knowledge, and it seems that every wiki or major discussion/article on the vex either hints or blatantly says they time travel while giving off no idea that it's exclusive to the Vault of Glass. Speaking of which, where did you hear that the vault of glass was the only place they can time travel?
