If you check out the update today (3/26), you can see that vault expansion could only add a handful of slots due to memory limitations on last-gen systems. If Destiny wants to significantly improve, should it stop supporting old systems? I'm not asking if they should close the servers, just if they should stop releasing updates/making DLC for old hardware, so that they can aim to push the limits of the PS4/Xbox One rather than the increasingly obsolete PS3/Xbox 360. Tell me your thoughts!

Excluding PSN exclusive stuffs, there is parity across all 4 consoles when it comes to NF, weekly heroic, daily story, Xur (and other vendors), and a few other things that I may be forgetting. To split console generations would then require a, for simplicity's sake, database split to have different content for previous gen vs next gen when DLC 3 drops. Not only would it have to change in game, but on b.net / companion app to ensure the correct info is in place for whichever console on which one is playing... There is also a subset of players that utilize the same character across console generations (whether by choice or not, doesn't matter). On paper, it could work. In practice, maybe not.
