It helped me a bit in my intermediate stage of playing guitar. But it only really helps you start up and then leaves you hanging to learn on your own. It's ok but more of just a game than anything. After a while you get good enough to learn songs without rock smith. I'm now able to spend time listening to a song then learning to play it by ear. But it's great for the new starters who have never picked up a guitar before but if you have experience. Well it's good for warm ups and exercise and sharpening your skill.

Do you have 2014? I noticed theres a "session" mode and I THINK (might be wrong) I saw something about playing the song through without visual cues but having Rocksmith still judge you on how well you did... I hope there is something for intermediate players...

master mode... if you can earn a 100% on a song, you unlock master mode which lets you play without notes on screen. beat it with 100% accuracy to get 110% on a song. The Hendrix Pack is OK, but way over priced for the content you get.

Thanks for the info/clarification. To be honest, I want to play metallica more than anyone else, but (probably because Lars Ulrich is a huge Douchebag) there is no official Metallica stuff. Hopefully I can figure out how to get custom-songs/unofficial-DLC onto my PS4. I know its possible on PC, but I dunno about PS4...

i don't think you can mod games on consoles anymore... sony used to allow it when the PS3 first launched, then they disabled it.

Thats shitty.

true, but it also is a pretty gigantic security risk unless you have a place like the nexus who verifies all files(they're a PC games modding site). post 2011 SOE tried to secure the system but failed as the root security had been breached and the master code stolen... and with the recent attacks a while ago that made that movie famous, they think the PS4's code might have been stolen.
