Yea what others said, Rocksmith. I have it, it's pretty cool.

... and also, does it automatically apply all the pedal effects that should be there for a particular song?

Thanks for the reply. I had a couple questions if you don't mind. I would be using it for PS4, how do I get songs it doesn't come with? Do I have to pay for them? Also, I saw something about a lag between hitting a note and the note registering, due to the HDMI *insert technical jargon*. Did you have a problem with this on PS4/XBone? Or did you separate out the analog signal? Overall, you think its good?

Yes, you have to buy songs if they are not included in the base game. It's 2.99 a song I believe. I have it on the ps3 version and if I am running it through an hmdi cable there is noticeable lag so I run it through components. On the ps4 if there was lag I'm pretty sure you could set up maybe an optical cable? I don't know. But chances are hdmi will produce lag. I'm sure there are work arounds though. Do I think it is good? For beginners, yes. For someone who has played guitar for quite a while, (like me) it can be quite tedious. And yes it will add the effects/pedals of the song you are playing automatically. You can make your own amp presets and tones and change that during the song if you want even. Also there is an option to invert the fretboard so if you do buy it, I'd recommend doing that so it looks like tabs.

Thats awesome man, thanks for taking the time to answer all my questions. I havent played in 10 years and I was never all that good to begin with so Rocksmith will hopefully be a good fit for me. Thanks again.
