It's a pain in the ass to get if you have just started a new char, have lots of armour to upgrade, and still want to play with your other chars. I can't get it anywhere near fast enough for my hunter at the moment.
its definitely not hard to get if you have multiple of the same character, but it can be very tedious if you want have 2 or 3 different character types. I understand that its a mechanism introduced to keep people grinding the hours away in the game, maybe I'm just lazy but the incentive to gather gear materials for the 3rd time is not really there.
I have 1 of each.
My warlock had over 1000..
Titan and hunter that I started 5 weeks ago have 5-6 pieces of armor that is lvld up on each and I'm out of class material for both.
I hand down armor engrams from my lock to them both.
I play all three equally for the most part.
Each I run bounties.. nightfall, weekly, daily ect.
I'll run one raid across all three and may catch only1-2 on the other raid.
But yeah, newer characters with multiple pieces of armor.
I put in the time to lvl them up, have all the material but the class specific material to upgrade them.
I little frustrating..But I also realize I played my lock exclusively for months.
So for those newer players coming in catching the original, dlc, VoG, crota, armor all at the same time.
They just have to pick the pieces the upgrade and get them over time, and grind.. grind... Grind for engrams.
I get the frustration.
The main point..
If the armor can be leveled up that fast, shouldn't the material to upgrade them be as plentiful?
Either slow down the upgrade progression, or in someway introduce more class specific material to balance it.
