I think this would be awesome. Certain areas are merged and you can kill other guardians in them. It wouldn't be like all of earth will become a gankfest just one zone.

  • So making an area for it is ok in your book? Say.... Skywatch now has that option and you're doing the Omnigul strike. That makes it to where some asshole can come along in that area and merc you with a well placed sniper shot and instantly you die. There goes the hope of beating that strike without any deaths for a bounty or just to prove you could. This is a horrible idea unless put strictly into it's own selection. Make it an option that you pick either from the Crucible menu or the same way you select a difficulty on a mission when you choose Patrol, but NOT taking over an entire area just for the hell of it.

  • first off calm down you are way to irrational about this entire concept. GTA does it fine its called passive mode, this means that you cannot be killed by other players. Also im sure if a zone like this were to be created it would be in a new zone and not in the middle of the route to a strike mission.

  • I was just using that as an example, mate. I have GTA and I know about Passive mode, but that takes a lot more coding to incorporate into a game like Destiny, which is why I'm against it. I was calm when I made this argument to many people and wasn't at all being irrational. If they make a new zone to tack onto Patrol for it instead of making a PVP Patrol map I'd be for that, but again, that's a lot of new coding. Whereas if they just turn on the PVP option for another version of Patrol mode it seems to me that it would be a lot quicker and easier on them to do. This is the reasoning behind my argument. Cheers.

  • The only code I can write is Html but I seriously doubt that it takes longer to code the option to go passive than it does to create a new zone, design it, build it, texturize it, populate it with npc, and then code it to play like crucible. Cheers

  • As I stated. It would take too long to 1-Create a new zone for it. 2- Code in Passive mode into an unfriendly Patrol mode. Where as, simply making an option for PVP Patrol and turning on PVP for that option seems it would be faster to me. This would be the already existing Patrol mode with friendly fire turned on. That's all. It would be a separate option to be selected either from the Patrol option or the Crucible menu. Whereas with passive mode you would need to turn on friendly fire, then do a lot more coding on top of that in order to do a passive option for the players that don't want to be merked. This is the clearest way I can say it. I'm not talking about making a new zone, mate. Just tweeking an already existing one to have more options.

  • Duel as in 1v1? That actually sounds pretty cool. Making a challenge option in Patrol would be cool, but I doubt it would happen.
