A Hunter is considered your DPS class (glass cannon), a Titan is your tank class, and the Warlock is a support class (medic). As I understand it, a Warlock, when perked properly, will generate more orbs than any other class. I believe this was designed to solidify their supportive role. I've been able to generate orbs up into the teens with one of my Warlock supers. At the beginning of the Crota hard mode, during the final boss fight, we save the sword wielding knights for supers after killing the Acolytes. I generally create 9 orbs for two Knights on one side, while my BladeDancer counterparts only create 4 orbs for 2 Knights. Our team insist that the Warlocks pop their supers at this point to get more bang for their buck, because, as you probably already know, orbs are good source of life when Crota's presence restricts all recovery.

Fuuny, max orb creation is maxed at 9 with supporting armor 8 without. Never, ever have I seen a Worlock, tiatn or hunter make more than 9 orbs in one super.
-
Defender Titan specced for the right abilities, can produce more than 8, a lot more if you ask me.
-
I sure he means with supers.
-
The Orbs generated from the heavy kills grant orbs/melee kills with melee shield active aren't supers so they don't count. With using just a super they only generate a maximum of 8/9 depending on what armor is equipped.
-
Light Beyond Nemesis + Sunburst + any armour that generates orbs with critical hits or grenades ( which the Warlock is spamming) = you can generate more than 9 orbs per super. You need the kills to support it though. I believe I've gotten up to 14 with a single Nova Bomb before on the Undying Mind strike.
-
Warlock is a supportive class until you've played the game for a week then you realize they're the tank class.
-
I know right? Not ONE warloc uses song of flame anymore. Mand if they do, it's because they don't have rez unlocked.
-
You're right. They can be built supportive. But out of 10 crucible matches I may get that song of flame buff once. If that. Same with CE or VOG or Nightfalls. They're running one of the other two 95% of the time

Edited by ParasiticFilth: 2/28/2015 12:27:51 AMThey can be both, if perked properly. Not in the same aspects as a Titan. Under Radiance, they can be your shock troopers, opening up choke points for a team. But a Titan has the highest armoured stats (bullet sponge), while the Warlock focuses on recovery- quick in and out burst. No other class is a versatile as the Warlock, it all depends on the task and your play styles. The support aspects are mainly with the Sunslinger subclass. The ability to cool down other player's supers or use your revive to pick an entire team by sacrificing it at the end. Not to mention all the orbs they can produce.
-
Again, once you've had the game for a week and know the name of the subclasses we will talk

Edited by ParasiticFilth: 2/28/2015 2:14:11 AMMaybe this app should provide a way for users to see how many game hours a player has logged into Destiny, that way little condescending shits, named after boyishly obsessed over hipster musicians, would have to find other avenues to get their pointless opinions across edgewise; rather than just stroking merits of supposed experience within the game. Otherwise, I would rather not tote game experience as an outstanding achievement on life's ladder, it's just a round about way of saying you're a loser.

On a side note... that was one of the most eloquent rebuttals/insults I've read on these forums. *tips hat*

Yeah, I really try not to go all Jekyll and Hyde on a person. I believe people should be allotted a certain amount of respect, but sometimes people overstep their boundaries and they have to be checked. This particular person was given a chance to recant with their initial statement, yet this person persisted. When it comes to internet statements, I have a set of scruples. I won't say anything to person that I won't say to them in the material world. Otherwise, I'd be a coward shooting up a middle finger from an opposing vehicle, speeding away, with the windows rolled up. If everyone had those scruples, we wouldn't have to put little disrespectful people in their place. Peace

Maybe life should have a word for people who start to put words in other peoples mouths when they start to lose an argument. Oh yeah they're called idiots
-
That's an accurate psychological projection. Exactly what words did I place in your mouth? I was under the impression that you only allowed people to place their dicks in your mouth. When I put something in your mouth, did you like it, did you swallow?

Edited by JaykoBlanco: 2/28/2015 3:14:41 AMNow the 12 year old pulls out his thesaurus. Listen, I didn't even say that game experience is anything to be proud of, or deserves any recognition, but calling Warlocks the medics of the game? There are no medics first of all, but second of all, warlocks have the highest DPs output, and can spec to have better shielding than the titans. If anything, titans are support, with their flashbangs, ability dowsing grenades, and bubble shields. Not to mention, with defender melee, I can spawn way more orbs than I ever could on my warlock. Also, for all your elegant worded replies(well done) you're still just an ass who is quick to throw insults

Warlock isn't support class - we are all dps
