no one gives a -blam!- what dysfunctional understanding of the world you have you probably eat organic food too and listen to the people that walk around chanting some -blam!- about Monsanto and how everyone needs to wake up. but, ya know, keep patting yourself on the back

  • I don't know what's so wrong with your life to make you feel the need post about 10 different comments on this thread and others about how I am ridiculous for not eating meat. It doesn't affect you in any way. I'm not "patting myself on the back". I was sharing something I was happy about.

Sorry, didn't mean to ruin your day, I can get pretty cold. But honestly, do you feel good about knowing how much meat is being thrown away because you won't eat it? I know, we could get into a whole debate about how there is no right answer and you have chosen the one you are comfortable with. But how about the habitats of animals that are destroyed so that you can grow vegetarian food? Like you're really only looking at a piece of the puzzle and thinking you've provided a solution that is helpful. And how do you supplement your protein? If it's with a powder, that's not healthy.

There are many sources of protein. I eat eggs, potatoes, avocados etc. I use organic natural protein powder when I work out sometimes. Just because I like healthy foods doesn't make me a hippie either by the way. It means I've made a choice to try to have a healthy balanced diet. That's all it means. If you think habitats are destroyed for growing "vegetarian foods" (also known as vegetables which you should eat as well) then what do you think about the pig farms that collect all the feces in a cess pool and then spray it all over the local areas including people's homes and farms? I can't change the world with my choices but I will make the choices I think are best. I don't force my choices on anyone so I think I should have the same right.

  • I eat veggies, heck I eat just about anything. I'm not nagging on you for being healthy, I'm nagging on you for not eating meat and thinking you're helping something. The way I see it, to be alive, we have to destroy something. Whether it's land, animals, or plants. Maybe it's easier to feel better about eating plants instead of animals but think about how we are sustaining a planet population of 7 billion. The resources we need could be given to something else (animals, plant life, etc), but we use it to sustain ourselves. As for the comment about poop or chemicals being sprayed near farms and houses, I'm not really concerned because not one piece of me believes poop is randomly collected and sprayed on houses. But if people don't like the smell of farms.....don't live near one. Just like you don't like the thought of animals being hurt...don't eat meat. I'm not gonna nag on your view of the world because you are going to believe what you are going to believe and I'm going to believe what I'm going to believe. It's just weird how so many people come to different conclusions - it's all culture and not really much fact. What you're doing has good intentions but I just see it as pointless and idealistic. Keep being a good person.

  • You were just in another thread calling Panda a bitch or something. Total opposite of what you're saying now.
