Brutes in no way are Cabal. I think you should really use facts and compare. Brutes were uplifted by the Covys as each tribe was folded into the war machine. Brutes did not even understand the tech they were using. Culture wise and looks wise they are two very different races. So this means Brutes= Barbarians. Cabal=Roman Legions Cabal are more organized. Have allot of armor. They carry tactical shields. Have a culture unlike the tribal Brutes or Elites. They seem to be more nature oriented as they defend mars forests with a passion. Also they have a huge boss that would make brute chieftain cry for mama. Cabal have or might have: -They most likely can produce the food they need. -They have there own armaments not to mention weapons and vehicles. Also they have space ships. -They have a language all their own as well as a culture even traditions. -Brutes adopted Covy way of doing things but remained primitive primates with tribal leanings. Without the Prophets tech they are just Barbarin Big monkeys who are warmongers with no real way to make the things like space ships. -Op is pretty ignorant at his claims. It does not take a collage education to compare the two races thus they are separate even fighting differently.

Brutes were space gorillas. Cabal look like space rhinos or hippos.

If a brute clad itself in hunter-esque armour (minus the spikes), then I think we'd have something like a cabal. The cabal seem more like hunters than brutes to me, but there are still obvious differences.
