Nintendo first-party game prices stay high. Other than some sales or MAYBE price cuts, most games will maintain their price for years.
Mario+Rabbids was a fun game. Splatoon 2 as well. Definitely try the Kirby demo. ARMS is on sale on the eShop for $42 or so. Very unique and if you like fighting games, definitely check it out. Pokken Tournament is a neat little Pokemon fighting game.
Mario Tennis Aces, Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze, Hyrule Warriors, and Captain Toad are all coming soon. Three of those are ports, but the Wii U was trash lol. Also, tennis boss fights + playable Chain Chomp = automatic buy from me lol.

Idk why but here in germany the first party titles are rather cheap for todays standards. Most of the time they cost 47€ at release instead of the usual 65-70€.

I mean, I can ask them to raise the price if you want... :P Here in the US, Amazon Prime and Best Buy Gamer's Club Unlocked offer 20% off games so $48 plus 6-10% tax. Also, Best Buy sometimes gives $10 rewards points for preordering certain games (in 2018 there's Far Cry 5, Black Ops 4, and Smash for Switch so far). I also deal hunt on top of that lol. I've gotten so many games in the past year for $36+tax. I got Super Mario Odyssey for $36+tax plus Best Buy gave me $10 rewards and a collectible coin for preordering!
