If they really listened we would have matchmaking for everything, elemental primaries would be back and sunsunger wouldn't have been nerfed.

Tell you the truth, Sunsinger, has to to stay the same, it was a smart move on the nerf, no one was diverse with a sunsinger. Everybody had the same roll out. And no matter what you say, we all know it's very true. Because my burn and firebolt is gone, my sub class is useless. That's what's commonly being said now. I'm using solar grenades an spawning orbs for melee kills in the cruicble, with the revive helmet/spawn more orbs, I'm using the melee to get explosions off kills, because it actually can get me a double kill, I'm using the sunsingers special to reduce allies grenade an melee cool down, because it's actually supporting them. Yes a lot of these nerfs did happen because of trials. But yet if it never happened, sunsingers would only need the same roll out, there wouldn't be diversity in a subclass. That's terrible, and personally I like it the way it is now. Carry on, not hate-comment or anything, just the legit truth is all.

The legit truth but yet you use the term everybody used firebolts. I didnt. I didn't like them. So not everybody used them. And pvp should stay were it was ment to be as a side mode so it doesn't affect the rest of the main game. And if you hold to your own logic then striker titan shoulder charge and juggernaut and lighting grenades should be heavily nerfed then to because that's all strikers use in the crucible.

Titans actually choose one of every perk. And even with the grenades as well. People will still use flash bang grenades just as much as lightning bolt. If you've thrown out the pulse grenade is weaker than the other two, so make the other two weaker that'd be something. But that's nothing of the difference from sunsinger, all three grenades are good but yet people were only using one set-up. Striker has three viable perk trees, people aren't using only one. You've even caught yourself in your own argument I mentioned only the burn in the perk, you mentioned 2 and their on the same tree. People can rollout differently because of that. But Sunsingers however, always had the same rollout.

  • Matchmaking isn't happening before D2, they said that long ago so I'm not sure why people expect it before then. Unfortunately with Sunsingers, those of us who didn't think they should be nerfed weren't the only ones with opinions on it and a lot of people did, particularly in Trials. The massive effect Trials has had on the balance in the rest of the game is something they really need to look at as they build D2 because one game mode shouldn't dictate so much balance change

  • The only way to stop the bleeding effect of pvp nerfs into pve would be to separate the sandboxs which I hope they do.

Personally I'd rather they just believe in and stand behind the unique experience they created where PvP isn't necessarily balanced because we're bringing weapons and armor we find playing into the crucible. If someone has better gear, it should be up to us to adapt by either upgrading our own gear or by using strategy and class abilities to counter opponents when we're outgunned.

  • I agree 100 percent but we both know that won't happen. That vision went away after the second and third and so forth nerfs on everything.

  • I personally think there's more to the nerfs than forum posts or rotating meta's. I think they realized the initial ceiling was too high and they'd be hard pressed to improve things in future releases so they've been systematically dialing things back. I could be wrong, but that's my theory on it.

  • 100% this. Y1 guns were so good that they'd never be able to top them without making content too difficult to accomplish without the best guns in the game...eliminating the casual playerbase.
