Think about it :
- Fatebringer arguably the best PvE primary legendary weapon
- Hawkmoon arguably the best PvE (and some people will say PvP too) primary exotic weapon and a top tier exotic along with Gjallarhorn and Ice Breaker
- The Last Word arguably the best PvP /1 vs 1 exotic weapon
- Thorn is a beast in PvP and PvE
Honorable mention to Timur's Lash (with good rolls) and The Devil You Know once one of the best primary legendary that you could get from the Vanguard vendor.
To me it just looks like handcannons went from most underrated weapon class when Destiny launched to the absolute fan favortie weapon class now. Handcannons are ruling PvP AND PvE.
What do you guys think?
(ARs are still probably the most "used" weapons that said)

I agree. If you can use a hand cannon properly it's wins. But a lot of people aren't good enough to make it in the crucible using a hand cannon
-
Agree
-
Yup, they are insane, but i gotta say, last word and thorn need just a tiny bit of work.. There is not a single game where i can say 'how did he kill me? oh, last word' It's becoming a real pain when at least one person per match will have either thorn or last word. Remember when Suros was THE crucible weapon? Barely any point in using it anymore because the last word will beat it, even at its desired range

1 ReplyTotally agree they are amazing. I have thorn and use it for everything and just received hawkmoon from VOG hard yesterday. So far I love thorn more but need to upgrade the hawkmoon.

I hate hand cannons, want to use them, try to use them, just can't stop hating them. They seem to slow and clumsy compared to scouts
-
Nope scout rifles

See the 3 exotic hand cannons are so hard to rate because they are all good at different things. TLW is a beast 1v1 close to medium range, Hawkmoon (if you're lucky) can be a 2 shot and is a beast at medium range. Thorn is an amazing multiple enemy weapon, you can bounce from enemy to enemy landing the dot and it can also be a 2 shot, the best range too, and a great weapon at all ranges. I personally prefer my thorn over everything else.

Edited by Ronin VII3: 2/1/2015 9:54:11 PMIt sure seems like it... So you know what that means, the nerfing is coming. So, hide your words, hide your thorns and hide your fates, cuz' they be nerfing errbody out here!

Is our EGO that fragile that we have to post another "master race" title?
-
1 ReplyAnd just think, they were originally designated as special weapons. I wonder what that would have been like? Imagine equipping both VOC and Fatebrinnger at the same time?
-
3 RepliesWord of Crota anyone?

1 ReplyMy primary weapon of choice are my handcannons, TDYD and Hawkmoon. If only I had a Fatebringer.
-
To me the dmg is great and makes you have to aim to keep a great dps compared to ther weapons. But I guess what makes me love them more is the much bigger field of view while ADS. Makes you a bit more situationally aware IMO
-
Yup, love my Handcannon. Makes everything seem cool.
-
I feel more like a badass when I use a handcannon

7 RepliesI prefer scout rifles over hand cannons, but that's me. Furthermore: fusion rifles wreck hand cannons in PvP.
