Would you?
I'm talking to the guardians that actually have lives out there and aren't living in your parents' basement.
Like, say you could play Destiny all day long. Girlfriend/wife wouldn't nag you, you don't have to go to work, no classes to go to. No real responsibilities.
If you could be logged on to Destiny all day long with no penalty besides your own personal health, would you?
Let me know what you think. Be honest.
edit I made this forum post because I realized someone on my friends list had over 1,300 hours which I found amazing. Lol I thought I played too much!!
edit #2 Not trying to offend anyone with kids or spouses, just creating an imaginary scenario. Of course having children and spending time with them is something that isn't comparable to Destiny. Or spending quality time with your partner. Just asking a hypothetical here.
edit #3 wow! Lots of responses!! (Been in classes the past 2 hours now I am at work) seems like we have a large quantity of people saying they would indeed do it, along with a decent amount of people saying there isn't enough to do and they would get bored. Interesting.

In a word, yes! I'm still newish. Got the game two months ago. I can't speak to past Destiny glory days. I'm just blown away by this game. I have taken a day off work to do a Raid. I can't stop playing this game. The leveling up and the fluidity of the gun fights are just brilliant. Even if I did drop a 3 of coins on a heroic strike, got an exotic engram, for a character I don't have!

4 RepliesYes. If my wife is working on my day off I'll gladly play for 9 hours then hurriedly spend an hour doing all the stuff I should have been doing all day, just in time to not get in trouble...
-
Would I do it? Yes, I'm so far behind
-
1 ReplyAt this point, I can't force myself on for more than 6 hours a week. There's nothing worthwhile imo to do other than weekly/nightfall, maybe raid if I find a decent group, and check out xur on friday. I've completely abandoned dailies and the bounty grind. I just don't have it in me anymore.
-
Dude I would 100 percent play this game non stop which is why I literally unplug my ps4 during the week... Otherwise I wouldn't eat or sleep or go to work or school lol it's way to addicting that being said I always look forward to the weekend!!!
-
1 ReplyHell no. I can hardly stand playing more than 3-4 hours on a single weekend. There just isn't enough to do.
-
I've done as much 4-6 hours...past that is a little too much for me.
-
-
Window open with cat on my bed watching me play. The answer is yes. Screw 7th grade.
-
I probably wouldn't be able to. Like eventually I would have nothing to do but grind out Roc strikes, and I can only do that for so long before i get sick of nothing but blues :/
-
Be a loser? Absolutely.
-
Have you heard of those guys that play video games and stream 24/7? I would do the same, except I wouldn't require breaks. But alas, I cannot afford to do this
-
I have a life (kinda I'm 14). And I do play in my parents basement. WIERD.
-
Well, maybe, maybe if it was right after the refresh. Once I finish the bounties and stuff there's no point in staying.
-
Probably would only want to do that on tues and wed, after I bust out weekly, nightfall, and hard CE & VoG on both my characters(working on 3rd currently), I feel like I don't have anything else worth doing in destiny.
-
1 ReplyI have and if gets boring.. you do everything in the first 2 - 4 hours and have nothing left for the day
-
1 Replyi do at the weekends minimum 10-16 hrs saturday and sunday.. no joke, mind you me missus is getting a tad upset though!!!!! she booked me and her a skiing weekend this weekend so im f*cked.. cold turkey just thinking about skiing.

1 ReplyI am a 'casual' and I have about 12 days playing time since launch. Even though I'm a fresh faced 23 year old I have to squeeze xbox time in between working 60 hour weeks, spending quality time with my daughter who turns 2 this week, going to the gym and all the general headaches that come with running my household and paying the mortgage. Destiny is the first game I have played in a long time that I could EASILY sit and play all day and all night. The last time I could do this was when I was a ~16 year old school kid slaying people on Call of Duty 4 and Gears of War with my class mates. Destiny has HUGE potential and it is at the very early stages of what I believe to be the best game of a (console) generation, and this is why we get 'the update we will never get' posts. Because it falls flat in a couple areas and there is room for improvement. I believe it will be the next Call of Duty or Gears of War. People need to choose their words wisely when submitting their feedback to bungie, constructive criticism will serve everyone better than making demands and threats. Watch this space!

Not all day, if this was re-worded to "play Destiny as long as you want", I'd be into that. But all day? I dunno. Gotta go outside sometime.
-
Getting paid to play video games is a yes for me.
-
I do once a week on my day off... It's great
-
I love playing when its raining and snowing..
-
I dream of being able to do that every day while I'm miserably at work!
-
No, bed sores hurt
-
Because it's winter now, yes, if I have nothing important to do.
