My advice to you is the same I give out each time I read a post like this. Given the time you've put into this game I would hope you've been building a friendslist of like minded and scheduled players. If not, then there's that. Next, if you can, join a clan of like minded and scheduled players. I offer an open invite to the clan I'm in. Each person I've played with is active on the biards, helpful in the game and just all around fun people.
Feel free to message me if you're on the xb one.
I would hope you've been building a friendslist of like minded and scheduled players
Alas... I have not "fallen into" any such clique... I imagine that this would all be so much easier if I could.
Given the time you've put into this game
Oh god. I'm afraid to look and even see how much time that is. Owing, in large part, to the previous not finding anyone I spent a *lot* of time stuck right around level 24 (solo play on the strikes list, etc) before I managed to figure a lot of endgame content out. There were so many things I was just wasting time and wasting energy on and not progressing for... I'm almost ashamed to even admit how much effort was wasted while not knowing how the endgame worked :)

When Gecko 77 says is sound advice. When the VOG first opened for business I assembled a small group and that group grew large enough (it ain't massive even now) that there was always a pocket online during peak gaming times. I'd suggest you look to do the same. You don't need to have 6 people at first to raid, having 3 is a good start. I've tried grabbing a random team of 6 people together and it is time consuming. A team of 3 you can rely on is step one, 6 is step two. As for beating Crota (the final encounter) on normal much like VOG it comes down to organisation and communication. Maybe more so in CE as the window for damaging Crota is much smaller. Having a lvl32 as the sword bearer makes things a whole lot quicker and gives you more flexibility as you try to synchronize your efforts. A, recently, tried and tested strategy is: - Delegate roles eg swordcarrier x1, boomer killer x1 or x2, crowd control x4 or x3 - Start at the crystal 3 on each side - Kill everything and immediately push through to the left side - Boomer killer(s) should be the first to take position - Someone grabs the chalice - the other group should be on the left stairs killing enemies (for ammo and health regens) - When all thralls are down, take down the swordbearer. - Crowd control team start chipping at Crota with primary weapons and Sword carrier should give a shout for rockets. - Crowd control team must get Crota's shield down, once he kneels reload heavy weapons and/or use synth. - When Crota stands and his yellow glow disappears fire once again until Crota kneels. - Swordcarrier will complete their second attack on Crota by which time the sword should disappear - Repeat until dead but note that Orgre's will spawn after two swords have been used Just a basic set of tips to assist you.

Nice! Thanks for the tips. I'll be going back through later on and organizing them into a summary for anyone who comes along later

If you're on ps4 and need a group join a clan (welcome to join mine). Some clans are for hardcore gamers others are to make team creation far easier. We're in the middle of both.
