So based on what I am seeing the the chance of a guardian having a rare exotic weapon and armor that another guardian does not have is slim. Xur is selling the most sought after exotics and to me it makes it minimize the rarity of the weapons and armor.
Sure we have those few exotic weapons that you can only get through raids like the Vex Mythoclast and Necrochasm. Even though I have yet to get a Vex Mythoclast, I appreciate the constant grind that I will need to endure just to hopefully get lucky enough for one to drop. It makes it that much more rewarding for me.
So I have a theory. If there is anything that i know about gaming its that when the general population starts to receive rare items more frequently, there will be something even more rare and exotic that will be introduced. My theory is bungie will introduce a new grade of weapons and gear (lack of a better word i will call them super exotics). We will be able to equip more than one exotic at a time. Looking at the Warlock gear, we already have Skull of Dire Ahamkara and Claws of Ahamkara. Why not have a full Ahamkara Gear. The "Super Exotics" can only be worn one at a time. It cannot be sold by Xur. It can only be reward for hard work (Harder Raids).
What do you think?

1 ReplyNo they're exotic hence the yellow! rare are blue! ;p

I don't understand these? Yes as they are the hardest to get? If you mean rare by not commonly seen on people then your question contradicts the physical game? You are SUPPOSED to acquire exotics, that's the point of the freakin game. Learn to think before you post

A lot were never rare in my opinion

I see more exotics than I do legandary engrams.

It's actually harder to get a decent legendary weapon then an amazing exotic weapon. Probably this games biggest flaw. I have almost 20 exotic weapons which I can only use one of at a time. Reliable good legendarys at the 331 cap? I have maybe 6 or 7.

I don't believe any weapon is rare in destiny, its designed to work in a similar way to collectable card games. You collect the guns in a similar fashion. In a CCG cards are produced in the same numbers there are just so many cards in the game the chances of you getting the one you need in your 7-10 card booster are slim. Here the RNG has the same effect.
