Exotic for exotic, legendary for legendary, ascendant for ascendant, etc.
okay bungie?
You want us to grind.
FINE!
Go add a broker/vendor in tower that charges a glimmer commission fee depending on the quality of the item.
All traded weapons or armor progress will reset.
And trade vouchers will only drop rarely and randomly. (Praise RNG-sus!)
Only one item can be traded per voucher from both parties.
For those of you who don't know what a voucher is, it is a pass that allows you to redeem a transaction
Let me emphasize "rare" because a lot of people still don't understand this concept and insist that people will exploit this system.
It would be a waste of your time to invest in playing destiny for an opportunity to get a trading voucher let alone a gallarhorn if you ever get one, just to sell it.
Would it be fair if I have two gallahorns and want to give my friend one? I feel it is, Especially when the trade vouchers would drop as exclusively as an exotic bounty. To limit exploitation, add in a bunch of factors that would make trading a pain in the ass; that the only way you could do it is for BOTH parties to have a voucher, Have a ton of glimmer. Basically you could only trade once in a blue moon and the opportunity would only present itself to the most dedicated players.
As for the real world currency for a gallahorn. Any one who seriously plays the game long enough for a gallahorn to drop is not likely to want to get rid of it for actual money. Especially when trading vouchers themselves are as scarce as an exotic. Maybe more scarce.
Also, I have two gallarhorns and it is ridiculous that some people who play longer than i and still dont; And I can't just give it away to one of my friends for say his... hard light? With the amount of time I've invested into the game I would not throw away an opportunity ( to trade my Gjallarhorn for say another exotic I really want) for real world currency. Not a likely senario, I'm sure it could happen though. For an large amount of money.
But people aren't likely to pay a high value for a gallahorn with the chance that xur will have it the next week. Also there are millions of people playing this game that have gallarhorn. How high could the price even get?
Idk... let's hear some creative regulating to prevent real world trading.

I like this. You have to get the ticket through rng. And people can't cheat it because you have to have an equal weapon. Plus if you gave it to a low level person they couldn't use it anyway.
-
There is already traders and vendors. Vanguard or crucible marks for legendary and strange coins or mote of light for exotics. The way to get weapons is great, it would be to easy the other way.. It would not be the best day ever the day you bought icebreaker or ghorn, but I will be the day one of your favorites drop.

2 RepliesI'd love to trade one of my ghorns for an icebreaker

Sounds like someone is lazy and wants a handout. Same to anyone who agrees with this guy. I UNLIKE this post.

Note to self... Will this stop the bitching...
Hell No..
I'd rather just have an open system. I would like to give my ascendant shards to some noob so he/she can get into the real action earlier. Or some guy give me a normal legendary for my bad juju since I don't like it. Open trade is better in my opinion

Go earn it!!!!!! 10,000 dislikes for even thinking of a trading system. Here's one for you use the vault between your character lol!!!!

10 RepliesNo thanks. 1) I don't want people spamming me messages asking to trade for my stuff. 2) I don't want the game to be full of farmers so they can sell Exotics for real money. 3) I don't want people buying gear via website. 4) I don't want my friends pressuring to give them stuff just because I have multiples. I hate the RNG's impact on the game but a trading system will make things much worse.

what is the point of trading now? they increased the drop rate of raid gear. there are so many more ways of finding exotics(nightfall and 2 raids x 3 characters) and xur. plus, the game has been out long enough that most people have almost everything in the game already(with the exception of a couple things). if you were able to just trade for the last couple things you have been grinding hours for, what would push you to continue playing the game? I don't think it is needed.

1 ReplyEdited by BucEmDown: 1/2/2015 7:58:15 PMI think they should allow trading for that event (raid, nightfall etc.) otherwise, there are so many dupes that we would all trade for every weapon the first 24hrs and not have anything to play for. So if we run raid and I get hunter chest and already have it(or want something else more) I can trade with my fireteam. Once we leave the raid, no trading and only once a week/per event.
-
1 ReplyWhy not just ask Bungie to add micro-transactions for exotics/legendaries instead? Then we can just not play the game, have all the loot we can pay for and avoid situations where we might actually get excited about something dropping for us.

Disliked. Good luck on 10,000 likes. Even if you get a few thousand Christmas Noobs who don't want to invest the time to acquire their gear, there's still millions more who like the game the way it is.

8 RepliesAs much as I would love to trade my 5 vex for 1 g-horn I do not think there should be trading. That would break game!
