I voted yes because I literally do not care about story in video games, I want fast paced killing all the time, I would skip all cutscenes first time through if I could and in games that allow it I do

I respect your opinion, but I think it is a real shame. The best games I've ever played have very good stories.
-
If I want story I'll read a book or watch a movie, I want to play my games not watch them
-
You have no appreciation of art, do you?
-
I do, I was an English literature major in college, I just go elsewhere (books, movies, tv) for good stories, games are for playing not watching.
-
Degree = Art? When I read a book or watch a movie, I see a character live. when I play a game, I am the character.
-
Ya, I obviously read a ton and appreciate what I read and imo video game story does not equal art, a book does. Not trying to argue or bash anyone, some people like story in games, I don't, and in that way I am "satisfied" with the (lack of) story in this game because I prefer less story.
-
I'm bashing, and you're stupid for having a different opinion than me.
-
So does a movie story equal art?
-
Good ones. My point is that I read a ton and I watch movies and tv shows alot and I enjoy those stories and thinking about them, video games for me are about turning the brain off (minus puzzles and stuff in games which is diffirent from story) and getting lost in a game. If I wanted to watch cutscenes I would go watch a movie, obviously different people play games for different reasons and that's cool, this is just why I play.
