My issue is that it is an exotic and they are treating it like you can just replace it with a new version of it and not keeping the old. Doesn't make it very exotic now does it. It should be treated more as modifying a weapon you have come to know and have now figured out a way to improve it. So is it an exotic that is being modified or are we trading it in for a new version (something that makes it seem a lot less exotic)?

  • Im just pasting this from what i said before They have already issued exotic items which are the best items in the game. However the dlc promices new and better exotics. So they have to find a solution to make the new exotics better like they said but keep every exotic, exotic by having the max light and power, they did the reset to acomplish this, that way the new exotics are favored and more desired and easier to level up, wile at the same time allowing old exotics to stay at the top with alittle extra work.

  • Yes I understand they want to keep the old exotic relevant. I also understand that there needs to be some work to bring it up. What I am saying is that there are ways to do it without a complete wipe or just adding a new upgrade node that would be more in line with keeping it feeling like an exotic and not like I am just getting a newer model of the weapon or armor. One suggestion I liked was a wipe but a bonus for how much was already unlocked. I liked this because it is like I have modified the exotic and it has changed the way it feels but not so much that I can't get to where I was before quickly because it is a familiar companion I have come to know. Like I said, I understand what they are doing but it doesn't match what their stance on exotics is. A unique one of a kind weapon. Now I know that it doesn't quite work like that because they can't have enough for everyone to have just one and their RNG is a little messed up those are other issues but this change cheapens the exotic experience even more. That is my issue with this.

  • I see most of your points but i can argue with one. You said we could simply add a upgrade on existing exotics, that would make them easier to max out then the new exotics, and they want the new ones to be harder to get, but easier to upgrade.

  • I did say that but in full context I said besides doing that. Because you are right they want people to go for the new exotics as well and not just upgrade the old ones.
