but we still lose our perks that are on the equipment. If the armor/weapons retained their light level, perks, and armor/damage there is no problem here. If I have to re-grind to get back any one of those things, it is a step backwards. Their logic here is that the game doesn't have enough content and they are artificially increasing the life of the game by making us re-grind an already ridiculous grind. Do you know how long I spent farming materials to upgrade 15~ exotics? that's hundreds of materials that took many hours to farm. It's a slap in the face. Them changing farming to exchanging vanguard marks was a good move because that means less of a grind in the future...but to ERASE all my work I put into it before? It doesn't even matter if a weapon/armor will retain it's defense rating. Someone with a fresh exotic loses nothing, while it would have been better if I NEVER EVER upgraded a single exotic. Where is the Bungie that created marathon, halo and oni. I want those guys back. Whoever the people are working for Bungie now doesn't have the same magic. Bungie games are supposed to be FUN not a boring grind fest. And seriously, whoever thinks this change is a good thing probably has a ball gag and whip in a drawer beside the bed.

  •
but we still lose our perks that are on the equipment
From what i have understood the guns and armor keep their current rating.(good you wont be weak wile using them) and they get their exotic perks back later on.
Their logic here is that the game doesn't have enough content and they are artificially increasing the life of the game by making us re-grind an already ridiculous grind
Yes its annoying but not compleatly in their controll, they signed a contract telling them what to do and how long it has to last, not to mention with the balanceing of this dlc and the next, and destiny2 already being developed, they are spread thin as it is.
Do you know how long I spent farming materials to upgrade 15~ exotics? that's hundreds of materials that took many hours to farm.
Ive done the same, you spent all the time building it up and maxing them out. You did mention this so i wont say much but they have made getting materials Extreamly easy by buying, bounties, and daylies.
but to ERASE all my work I put into it before? It doesn't even matter if a weapon/armor will retain it's defense rating.
Again id like to say i dont know for sure but from what I understand ALL is a big exageration, you can keep the current stats of it so it will still be powerfull and easy to use. I would say more but i dont want to until i know its true
Someone with a fresh exotic loses nothing, while it would have been better if I NEVER EVER upgraded a single exotic.
I know the future exotics are stronger but i dont THINK the ones being sold now will be. And we have to think about it for a sec. With the last update, they made exotics easier to level up then ever before, so you wont have to grind the raid or public events for shards and energies. So there really shouldnt be much of a grind at all, just do the daily bounties and stories.
Where is the Bungie that created marathon, halo and oni. I want those guys back.
Bungie went downhill after the loss of halo, they lost allot of fans and workers to 343 and Microsoft so they were in a slump. Destiny is their way back to the top but they lost their head developer half way through it so it became a struggle. Bungie can, and will accomplish so much more, we just have to stick with them and bring them back up.

  • although I agree with that last paragraph, it should be the other way around. It isn't the players that need to bring them up, Bungie are the ones that have to do it. Sticking with them in hopes they become a top tier developer again is fruitless if people will continue to purchase their subpar games. Bungie has to prove they are still worth caring about, without my money now. I pre-ordered destiny because of their reputation. I won't make that mistake again.

no, your not. But as a company Bungie should be making sure they keep my business. Many people are pissed off about this and for good reason. I have never seen a game just take a dump on it's players like Bungie has been doing. They decided to make an exclusive deal with sony despite that being morally retarded. they decided to sell us data already on our game disc, and they decided to partner up with the most blatantly evil company on the planet, activision. Activision doesn't even try to hide it, they straight up told people that games should be more expensive. If Bungie wants to make a deal with the devil they are free to ruin their company any way they see fit.
