It wouldn't be practical to go to Jupiter or Saturn. Thy are entirely made out of gas, no earth under that.
Also the gavity is so dense there, even if you could land there, you would get crushed under your own weight.

I think we actually go to Titan which is a between moon and earth sized.
-
Remember the Traveler terra formed the solar system during the golden age.

It's a video game
-
Halo 2 did it. And besides we're Guardians.

I suppose some realistic thought would hurt I guess if not Jupiter, colonization and terraforming of its moon is still good. On fun side, if Destiny did offered open playable terrain as advertised and Jupiter is habitable I think its map would be 10x the size of skyrim haha.

1. this is a game based in our - fictional - universe. Wverything is possible. 2. the traveler gave humanity the "golden age" leapfrogging us in to space, colonizing planets, the traveler gave us the technology to do all that. Why not jupiter too? Mars is said to be impossible to live on, yet in the game, again a fictional universe, humanity was living on mars, going to the academey.
-
Mars isn't impossible to live on. All it needed was oxygen, something that would be probobly easy for the traveler to do. If the traveler could make a giant ball of gas inhabitable, then it might as well create its own planets.
-
Venus is impossible to live on. Also the game says gardens were built on Mercury, which is way too close to the sun to be inhabitable.
