Follow me on this,
Pretty much every reward you get in this game is based on the RNG there for nothing can honestly be considered as earned. Sure Bungie set out a task in front of you, you accomplish said task but in the end even if you got the most kills and did everything during the mission you could end up getting a helmet for a class you don't use and the guy who did nothing the entire time gets the exotic weapon. Who really "earned" what in that situation. Now do I think in game types like PVP Bungie really needs to completely revamp the entire reward system, of course. If in the Crucible you perform better than you deserve better. Let's not lose site of the issue here though. Every week people lose their minds because Xur sells something they "earned" doing whatever they think deserves the title of "earning". Truth be told if you've ever received an exotic from a drop or a reward you didn't earn it, you just got lucky. The only true "earners" (as people like to call them now) would be the players that do the tasks that give you a guaranteed reward of Strange Coins. If those player complete those tasks and spend those Coins with Xur then they in fact have earned their new item be it armor, weapon or what have you. As we all know Coins can be given as a random rewards as well but they are a guarantee with curtain things. So stop with all your bullshit about how you're all upset that Xur is selling the same thing that you "earned". The player that's buying it might just have actually done more then just lucked into it like you did.

8 RepliesTHERE IS NO RNG Its based on: Total kills Headshot count Current level Owned Items Play time Your second character Current weapon NOTHING IS RNG.

2 RepliesIs this still a fight ? It's all random. Who cares
-
1 ReplyThis. Again. So last year.

1 ReplyParagraphs are cool.

I agree that buying exotics with (largely) guaranteed coins is more earning than grinding and hoping for the right drop. The whole debate is pointless though for me. Who cares how you got your exotics? If they help keep you and your team alive, where's the issue? Another persons gear has zero effect on your experience. The problem lies with the snowflakes. God forbid someone get the same gear as them.

Completely true

i like this argument, interesting read

2 RepliesThe real people who earn______ are the ones who put the time and effort in. Completing the weekly heroic is equal to completing two parts of the raid, so what makes buying something from xur any different than someone getting a lucky drop from a nightfall or their first time through a raid?
-
2 RepliesI say exotic bounties are more earned than Xur, but yeah, definitely earned from Xur.
-
1 ReplyI think getting an exotic drop is so much more exciting, like you finish something that may be tough (Omnigal nightfall with arcburn was the toughest for me personally) then out of nowhere a flashy yellow great freaking job pops up and you squeal for joy. When Ghorn dropped for my friend in an atheon fight I was stoked for him. Sure you earn the coins but it's definitely more exciting (IMO) to have stuff drop on a strike, raid etc

3 RepliesNobody earned anything ever. It's all equal. Can we please stop with these posts? I mean, you can argue that you earned coins from the weekly, but is that really the only point that RNGers versus Xurners has? Really? Can't we just all stop being little bitches about this shit?
-
Hahahaha you earned my reply to this thread
-
-
The only exotics that are earned are the ones from bounties, especially thorn.
-
3 RepliesWhat does RNG stand for?
-
1 ReplyIf you did s bounty you earned it
-
11 RepliesLol all of you buy shit from Xur. I earned my gear.
-
I earned my coins from nightfall to buy what I earned from xur

1 ReplyFollow me on this How does Xur end up with soo many of these "exotics" that he can just sell to every player. Something's up if you ask me. So I'm glad you guys asked. This guy disappears for 5 days and just shows up again with a bunch of good gear. Now I'm thinking there can only be one way that he can find so many exotic weapons and gear at such a rate that he can have enough to sell to each individual player. Xur is obviously...
Santa clause on pcp
1 ReplyI got the last word from the nightfall today. I'm glad I decided not to buy it Lol. I completely agree that I got exetremely lucky with RNG, and i hope to everyone that bought it that they enjoy it as much as I do.

Finally somebody with some sense!

1 ReplyI got Lucky on Halloween night and got The Last Word from a Tiger :D I think it's awesome that more people can now purchase the weapon but am a little worried that with the increase in TLWs in pvp will cause the cry babies to come crawling to Bungie for a nerf and then of course they'll be pacified and we'll wind up with nothing more than a paper weight. Let's hope this doesn't happen.

4 RepliesYou can't really compare the feeling you get from completing a nightfall and getting an exotic to buying that same exotic from Xur. To many, it feels earned because of the struggle and effort put into that reward instead of throwing Xur some chump change to get it.

Where is xur this week

Your post is the one true Last Word.

I AGREE.
