I'm doing this poll due to a reply to a comment i put on the destiny weekly update and would like to see if anyone else would like this idea i'll copy and paste it and hopefully Deej might see it, if not well we might be able to keep bumping this topic.
Copied from my comment: I have to agree with most people in requesting a survival mode. I want one constant survival maybe outside the city walls, however people can come and go as they like, so the waves are constantly on the attack and there are 16 or so guardians all defending, it can be an ongoing event. so lets say you want to try survival, and you see an icon next to the tower, you click it choose a location/map (maybe different points of the walls of the city) and you're put into orbit. you drop in (maybe with or without a fireteam) and there are already guardians surviving, you join them defeating the waves, once you beat wave 50 it is quiet for a couple of minutes while everyone catches their breath and sorts out their rewards for the waves. Then it starts again from wave 1, you defend, people leave and people join, just costantly defending against sets of 50 waves. the only problems with this system is people joining at wave 50 and pehaps getting amazing rewards which is why the rewards could be point based and what would happen if everyone died, would the round reset or just wait for everyone to self revive due to it constantly running.
It might be hard to implement, it might not be, but i think this method might fit into destiny nicely, it's always nice to try new things.

Edited by ve7n00m: 11/14/2014 8:55:28 AMIt should be a Guardian training simulator that you access at the Tower, waves of enemies in a variety of different Terrains, that allow you (as a guardian) to hone your skills ready for the actual fight. Enemies would just be holographic versions of their real life counterparts, when they die they disintegrate in a blue pixel dust cloud. The more waves and challenges you achieve in a single life, the better rewards you're given. Challenges could be like. Complete this wave without taking any damage or only using a primary weapon. Defeat boss wave in under 5mins Take out over half the Fallen in wave 6 with Head Shots Etc, Etc... Waves wouldn't just be endless enemies spawning, each wave you'd have an objective within the terrain you spawn in at. For instance, your 3 man fire team spawns in on Mars at a building of somesort and Dinklebot says. Cabal lieutenants are headed our way to commandeer this station, we need to fight them of and claim it as our own, they're valuable secrets inside. For each Cabal that gets past your defence line and into the building a 'capture' meter fills, once it's filled fully you lose the objective. It could be 25 Cabal drop ships of enemies before you complete that wave, with mini bosses and Tanks coming at you too. Blue and greens could drop from enemies during the wave but rewards (based on performance) would be allocated at the end, upon wave completion.
