First thing's first, I mostly like destiny.
I bought it at the midnight launch and I have played every day since then, logging over 200 hours of play time.
Unfortunately, my time on this game is up. Tonight I go on holiday for a few days and, when I return, I will be picking up Halo MCC. One week later, GTA V comes out (which looks incredible, for the record - Bungie and Activision, take note, this is how you release similar content and avoid it being repetitive).
Anyway, I have experienced the same issues we've all read and written about on these forums since launch.
But I don't hate or blame you, Bungie. I know that there's a puppet master above you controlling all of this. And it saddens me. After all the excitement and build up, Destiny is just another shell of a game. The result of businessmen running the project, rather than gamers.
While I think about it, what is this BS about Destiny 2 being in development? I saw it on Polygon yesterday and it has since been removed (I think).
When you announced Destiny would have a 10 year lifespan, I got the impression that you were releasing 1 game that would be continually updated with new content for a decade.
I didn't realise you just meant you were releasing a -blam!-ING franchise, with the same lifespan (maybe less) than most gaming franchises.
Well, you have lost my respect. And now that better games are coming along, you have lost me as a part of your core active player count. I might be back for the DLC, but I wonder why. You wouldn't keep visiting a restaurant if your food was bad the first time round, would you?
Anyway I'm tired and rambled this out on a bus on my phone.
Bye for now.

Strongly considering GTAV with the FPS addition. Think I'm going to holdout first and see if they drop those previously promised heists on this upgraded version.
