I was thinking about the trade system as I killed an enemy and received a legendary helmet engram which later turned into the hunter class helmet (I'm a titan). I thought well why isn't there a trade system that's based on same rarity and same category. I don't see many flaws in this kind of trade system since you're basically trading the same rarity items for something of like value.
The only flaws I can imagine thus far is if someone traded raid type legendary armor for regular legendary armor (like the ones at the tower that you receive by focusing on a faction). I then thought why not make legendary raid gear it's own category so you cannot trade it with regular legendary gear, the same goes with weapons as well.
Addition: Another flaw I thought of is what if someone trades a maxed out exotic for a exotic that isn't maxed out, well then any armor/weapons you trade get reset upon trading. That way you will still have to upgrade them regardless.
Example: If I have a legendary auto rifle and I didn't like it so much but a friend or some random person took a liking to my legendary auto rifle I could trade him/her it for a weapon of the same category (Primary) and same rarity (legendary). If a system like that is in place where you can trade like items based on category and rarity that would pretty much get rid of any chances of RWT. This also works with like materials for Example: I want to trade Ascendant energy for Ascendant shards, I'll just find someone who needs what I have and trade them the energy for the shards. The value remains equal and both players are happy.
What do you the fellow Destiny gamers out there think of this idea, is it good or bad? I would like anyone who's interested in this idea to have a mature discussion rather then flame each other or me.

2 RepliesNo. Just no. Make 3 characters? Yes. Just yes.
Having 3 lvl 25+ characters allows you to perform the raids/strikes 3X more earning 3X more drops/earnings each week. Therefore allowing you to make multiple XUR purchases. Think about it.

Then you wouldn't care do much about breaking a non-broken game.
